  1. Is it possible that you're using a different worm? Jackall didn't bring the Flick shake to market (Even in Japan) until just under two years ago. They brought them to their US distributors more recently than that. The actual Jackall Flick-Shake worm isn't that durable. I'll catch 2-3(four if I'm lucky) fish on them before they can't be re-hooked. The first that I got in late 2009 were more durable than what I currently have. Also, I've found a difference in the colors, in terms of durability. Cola, Cinnamon, and Sunburn Melon tend to be more durable, while Bluegill, Watermelon Pepper and Candy and Green Pumpkin Pepper and Candy tend to be not quite as durable as the others.
  2. I got another of these today, and I noticed that the guide sizes are different between the two. The first and second are the same, but after that, they change. The spacing is different, too. I'm a little confused, never seen it before. Anyone able to pull a couple measurements from tip down to say the third guide down, then the second?
  3. Depends on the lake, depends on the time of year, depends on the depth. I can't pick any single bait and say I use it first time all the time on a dropshot. Hook size depends greatly on the bait and whether I am nose hooking, wacky, or rigging. I could expand but we've seen how you feel about that.
  4. I like them, thus far. I used them the other day and caught a few dink bucks on them.
  5. Used them all through last year. They're durable enough for a few fish each, as long as you rehook, you're fine. I've tried a few imitations of the Jackall worm, and nothing comes close, like the Senko, there's other sticks but they're not Senkos.
  6. Just a heads up, watch Cabela's and if you've a Scheels near. I've bought spools of Tatsu at $30 recently.
  7. That's pretty cool stuff. Thanks for posting it.
  8. Contact Suffix directly, I'm sure they'd love to hear of issues, particularly with a brand new line of lines.
  9. Yeah, I'm sorry. I misunderstood your initial post. I really, like the Toray line, too. That's all I fished on my spinning rods (for fluoro) prior to Tatsu.
  10. Ever seen the high maintenance girlfriend fishing commercial where the guy jumps out the boat? One similar to that. Guy and his significant other are arguing, have been about 40 minutes. We can hear them yelling at one another from 1/4 mile away. All the sudden we hear "sploosh" and, "Good luck getting your boat home, I'm taking the truck." Lady swims the 1/4 mile or more back to the dock, walks to the truck, drops the trailer where it sits, takes the truck. It was pretty comical.
  11. In all seriousness, Tatsu beats Toray in every aspect, in terms of being fishable. It's softer while still having incredible abrasion resistance. It's very easy to cast, spools well on the reel, and has excellent knot strength as well. If you're fishing Toray, you'll love Tatsu.
  12. Best? Without a doubt it's Seaguar Tatsu. I'm fishing it on I think 6 rigs now, one of those is spinning. It's far and away the best fluorocarbon line made. After that, the best I used was Toray Bawo SuperFinesse.
  13. I have the Cikana, they're reasonably comfortable for wearing all day. They're far more durable than others I've tried, and they don't stink to high heaven when you wear them a couple days in a row.
  14. They should make a men's after shave of the worm sent! I dunno, that seems kinda... well, backwards. Seems to me like they should make woman's perfume with that scent. Don't get me wrong, I'm a pretty liberal guy, and all, but I'd be afraid of what might happen on a long tournament weekend with that. (The above is written tongue in cheek, entirely. It is not meant to be offensive, serious, sarcastic, or in any war derogatory. If you took it that way, well, that's ok too. I'll write another disclaimer later.)
  15. Didn't look like it from the first post, but ok. I've been guilty of the same.
  16. Wow. Just...wow. You're saving $.30 per bait already. I'd say that's more than competitive.
  17. You mean like this? Havoc Grass pig $2.99/6 RI Skinny Dipper $5.49/7 Yep, you're right. Price sucks.
  18. Oh I'd do that in a heart beat. Fish is one of the greatest icons of sportfishing today.
  19. Won a bunch of them at one function or another, and never did fish them. Seeing your post just reminded me of them, actually.
  20. Highly doubt that the weight of a single split ring is going to be a major issue in terms of action; now if we're talking Wolverine triple rings in size #7, sure, but not a standard ring.
  21. They're bringing another lure to match the new Crankin Rap. The DT Flat, according to one of the reps, has never been a good seller.
  22. Oh, I know they're decent rods, it was related to which price point and possible responses from St. Croix. I'd take them up on the Upgrade. $50 + price difference to the next series of rod. What your breaks sound like, really, are rods that weren't protected adequately during shipping. They got shifted in the tube hard enough to damage the tip, in which case I'd take it up with the shipper.
  23. Find it hard to believe that St. Croix customer service left you with "upgrade rods." There's got to be something left out of that exchange. They're likely one of, if not, the top rated companies in the rod making business. I've fished their rods for as long as I've been fishing, as well, I've got rods from Premier to Legend Elite and Extreme and have never had an issue that wasn't taken care of by them in a manner that was anything less than satisfactory. What series of rod are you talking about here? Mojo?
  24. Has anyone used these? I've used other plastics from them with great success, but the tubes seem quite soft. Almost too soft. I'm a little hesitant to order them and pay the shipping for something that isn't going to work.
  25. Last minute advice, smile, nod, say "I love you" "yes, it was all my fault" and accept all blame. When she's recovered fully, claim plausible deniability, she was on drugs. If she's going natural, duck punches when the above fails. (We're all pulling for ya. Can't wait to hear the outcome.)
