  1. I had ordered some recently from there and was disappointed to find they'd backordered them, even though they showed an onhand. I found some today, though. Thanks for the heads up.
  2. It's actually not as wide as a Pointer, but rolls like an X-rap. I don't like the Xrap much in cold water, it's too wild and swings too wide. The Eeratic is a fairly predictable bait with a nice tight wiggle that works well around that 62 degree mark and lower.
  3. Keep moving, nothing to see here... (Is that an indicator?)
  4. Great little reel, without a doubt one of the best values in light line reels. Avid is a great line of rods, again one of the best bang for your buck rods out there. InvizX is a fine line, it isn't my first choice, but it's a good mainstream fluoro. Chronarch 100MG Cumara CUC77M 12lb Tatsu Lipless baits and squarebill up to 2.5 size.
  5. They work well on green fish, no doubt about it. I've had superb luck with Northstar. I've cashed a number of checks due to Chris' spinnerbaits and jigs. They are among the very best in quality, in value, and in components.
  6. Excellent, it was more a question of where a guy could find them, that's all.
  7. Looking for shakedowns in 1/8, 3/16, and 1/4 in any color. If anyone has a lead on some shoot me a PM. My stock is running low and I've got a couple lakes I'll need them on yet this fall.
  8. Uhhh? Fluorocarbon has longer life on the reel than mono. I've got a couple spools of Tatsu that is now through its third season. The problem is heat in the vehicle.
  9. Ford F150 XLT. I spend my money on things that matter; diamonds for my wife, gear for me.
  10. Yeah, but there are some hellish good rates out there, too for boat loans right now. Good friend just bought a TR21X and is paying .9 interest on it for a three year.
  11. There are a TON of 7-6 MHF Rods out there. Veritas Vendetta Carbonlite Dobyns Crucial (7-7) TFO Duckett Falcon St Croix (Mojo and Avid are MH which are perfect flip sticks as well as big jig/plastics rods) Rage Lews Powell Phenix There are choices from across the board. There's NO lack of rod in that length and action at all.
  12. Questionable rod with questionable guides on a questionable blank with a questionable warranty from an otherwise excellent company. The reel doesn't suck at all. The line does. Loomis NRX893C Shimano Metanium MG7L w/ upgrade drag. Tatsu 15lb
  13. And I, as well as others, disagree. Extremely high strength to diameter ratio, very high abrasion resistance and excellent line behaviour for reaction baits. Crankbaits in particular hit greater depths and have better action on lighter lines, say 10lb Tatsu or AbrazX. Spinnerbaits on fluorocarbon is a no-brainer. In deep cover, and in soft cover, the line stands up much better to the abuse than ANY mono, has better behaviour when pulling fish from weeds and is just generally a better choice than mono. Most of the issue at hand will be solved with #1 setting your drag properly, and #2 using a line that has better properties than Vanish. Vanish is notoriously low quality line in terms of abrasion and break strength. It's an EXCELLENT walleye line, if not one of the very best, but that is generally applications in which there's little chance of contacting cover with the line, and in situations that diameter to strength is not a huge issue. @OP check out Bass Tackle Depot right now, they've got Sunline products on sale for a GREAT buy. Excellent introductory, and higher quality, fluorocarbon for a very good price.
  14. 12" Refers to lighthouse reflectors. If he was a 12" keeper, he was in a 12" house. It refers more to Fresnel type houses than any other. If you're able to check into the type of houses in your search area, you'd be very likely to find the house in which he was the keeper.
  15. TBH, I've had mixed results with it. Smaller diameters have more stretch than InvizX, Large diameter lines have less, it seems. I'm not sure WHERE that division starts and why it seems that way, but it certainly does seem that way. I've not fished the Sunline in 10,12,or 14, for even comparison. I fish it on a couple reels in (I believe) 16 and 20 IIRC. I've also got it in 8lb and it seems very comparable to InvizX with the exception of having slightly more stretch.
  16. I'd call it very comparable to InvizX on most levels. At a two for one, it's a great deal.
  17. Tx Rig, Carolina, Jig Trailer, Drop Shot, Rage Rig. Depends on the situation. All colors are good, depends on the water and where you are.
  18. My panic box consists of a jerkbait, grubs/leadhead, and a 3/16oz finesse jig.
  19. Color matters indeed. There are instances in which it matters far more than others, usually in clear water. Green stained waters are the best to throw greens because the color actually stands out to fish. The darker the green, typically, the better it works out in green waters. If you're starting to get brown stained water, darker colors, rather than bright, present a better silhouette. Blacks, blues, and reds are better options in dark stained water.
  20. And I disagree. The long term durability of the Revo in particular. One of the highest return rate reels for mechanical issues is the SX followed by the STX. They're notorious for having bad runs of bearings and very low quality control on the whole. If you, typically, find either of those reels for $90 there are issues with the reel that will need to be addressed in terms of servicing the reel. The Citica doesn't come in a 7:1 ratio. The Curado would be a super reel for that money, albeit a very rare buy. The ProQ is a great buy at the price, with the new design of the reel being proven now for a number of years. They're strong, tight, and put together the right way. They have bearings in the right places and they have a higher grade of bearing than any reel in their class. Overall, they're one of the best values in reels that are out there. While I'm not generally a huge fan of "store" brands, the BPS reels have come a LONG way from their meek beginnings. for $90 bucks, it's a go-to. If you're not in a hurry, watch the stores and internet, they're regularly on sale for $79.
  21. There's no right answer. For me, the right time is never. For other's it's always. I nearly never fish braid, hate it.
  22. I use Chris' spinnerbait exclusively, and have won several tournaments this year on them. I fish several of his jigs with the Owner Round bend and/or the Trokar and have smacked a LOT of fish on them. He introduced me to the Owner RB hook close to a year ago, and I'll never look back. In terms of color selection and overall quality, coupled with their durability, there's not ONE jig that can compare.
  23. Well done, young man, well done.
  24. This. I've caught fish 17:1 with the Popmax versus a very good friend whom is a very solid angler fishing a Pop-R. It may take a ripple, but fish show a preference time and time again. Anything that ups my chances of taking home a check... well, that's what I'm after. The Yellow Magic is a super bait, too.
  25. Yar. We fish them on Fork, Rayburn, LOZ and Truman a lot. They're a decent but but terribly soft, they get destroyed after one, two if you're lucky.
