  1. I still do.
  2. I spray paint my lures and it works fine. I do use a epoxy clear coat. I use a 2 ton epoxy with a 30 minute work time. I have a album with spray painted handmade lures if you want to view it.

    Thanks!
  4. My specialty is making topwater hardbaits and can build something for just about any condition. I like smaller lures with subtle action on calm water or when casting to a specific spot, without making a large splash and spooking fish. I use larger lures with more action and noise as the wind picks up and to cover more open water.
  5. Crushed them with topwaters yesterday, after this cool snap. Seemed like it helped here as it was almost going to the summer patterns. Almost like it brought the fish out a bit from the tight cover, they were willing to chase.

    Topwater fun

    Topwater fun.
  7. Nice. I think I saw these on T.U. bass guy is it?
  8. I haven't had the chance to try this particular one yet. I have made them before and they pop and dart- like. Sorry I uploaded it in thumbnails. At 6inch 0.75 oz I wanted to try to make a bigger than normal popper type bait. Not for precision casting to a particular target ,but for open water hydrilla and grass lines for a longer casting radius to cover more water when the temps warm up.
  9. 6 inches , 0.75 oz .
  10. Sweet, Did you get all the crappie on the spinnerbait? If so whats the specifications of it, I might try one around here.
  11. 14ft Monark, 25 Merc, Vengance prop.
  12. Welcome!
  13. I use a cast net for shiner fishing L.M. Sometimes I get wild shinners ,or chubs, personally I prefer the chubs.
  14. Yeah thats crappie hatchlings. Just look at the thumbnail photo you have, that has the smaller and bigger ones together, you can see the speckeling get more prodominate as they grow vs the vertical stripes as the smaller one, and you can see the body shape making the transition as well, the eyes are to big to be gill fish.and the gill speck would also be bigger than what it is. plus its bedding season. so they probably just hatched.
