Take Exit 98 on 81. Its the Dublin exit. If your on 81 north you will turn right at the end of the ramp. Go about 5-6 miles and Rock House Marina will be on your left. They hold weekly tournaments there and Mike can probably tell you all the dates of the other tournaments on the lake.
I am taking the old lowrance out of the dash of my boat and replacing it with the new humminbird. My question is what is the easiest way to get the old puck transducer out? Looks like it has epoxy holding it in place. Any tips or advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
I plan on taking dad to Lake Hickory this weekend. I have never been and was wondering if anybody had any advice or reports. I'll post results and hopefully some pics when we get back. Thanks!
looks like the water will be around the 300 mark when we get there. it was 301 this morning. i was hoping to fish the bushes but looks like it ain't going to happen. looks like cranks and carolina rigs which is fine with me
Its about 20 miles or so north of winston-salem. Small power plant lake thats supposed to have some big bass in it. I think they have some open tournaments there. Its only a hour or so from the house so i was interested. $4 gallon gas prices makes it hard to travel far
Report from claytor is average i guess. Caught 10 small bass all together between the 2 of us. All was caught on shaky heads around boat docks close to grass. Had a few hits on a frog where the grass had topped out but no takers. Biggest fish was 2lbs.
me and dad heading to claytor in the morning. we've not been there in a long time was wondering if anybody could help us out. wondering which end of the lake would be better and maybe what to throw. not looking to take somebodys special hole just want to see the ol' man catch a few
best way to learn what your looking for is to spend time on the water and when you catch one pay attention to the details. time, weather, current, it all plays a factor
