Golf course ponds are probably one of my favorite freshwater fishing locations. The local municipal is about a three minute drive for me, and I have had no problems, even fishing in the middle of the day. Also I know a back road that takes you right to the pond.
Unfortunately I am not the only one that knows. Littering, fishing pressure, and constant drastically changing water levels have taken a toll. But the are still some monsters in there. My biggest bass came out of there.
Now the local country club is another story. A canal and lake system that has been flowing for over twenty five years. I have only begun to scratch the surface on that paradise, in part because fishing there is reserved for after dark and certain holidays.
