  1. baby bass and bluegill! I love the shallow crankbaits from Bandit.... the only better ones are the Storm Subwarts but they are so hard to find
  2. I was cruising ebay and saw a bunch of people selling Senko knockoffs... are these as good as Gary's Senko? I thought about get an assortment just to try to find the best color in my area. Thought I would see if anyone on here has tried the knockoffs and if you can tell a difference in performance/fish catching
  3. I lost the nut that holds the handle onto the reel and can't find one that will fit the threads. Anybody know where I can get just a nut so I can use my reel again?
  4. k will do
  5. road warrior,, for the millionth time I checked the FAQ... I am a visual learner and a video would be a very valuable resource for me... Sorry if asking some questions is against board policy. But no one else is treating me the way you are and I would kindly appreciate it if you cut the attitude and I will do the same to you. Thank you
  6. thanks for the help rubba bubba
  7. Just let it sink and work it slow with the rodJust short a pull or a short hop of the rod. Are you sure that ther are bass in the pond? Like I said before maybe you need to make a color change! I can't beleave they won't pick up that senko!!!! yes I know for a fact there are bass in the pond cause I caught one on a Fat IKA same color tooo by the way
  8. thanks for re-opening... I am looking for a video that shows the methods because I am such a visual learner... If you guys don't know of any then thats fine I just thought I would ask So ok I cast the 5'' senko out on my 6'6'' rod with spinning gear and I let it sink for 20 seconds... then I give it a "pop" or a slow raise of the rod tip? how far do I want to raise the tip of my rod? Since these ponds are not mapped and I am not armed with depth finder and such from the bank what does the Senko do if I wait 20 seconds and it only took 5 seconds to hit the bottom? Does it still have action sitting there?
  9. im just getting frustrated I have checked youtube... I always check youtube and there isn't a video showing how to work the rod... there a few with people talking you through what to do but I just want to see some one work the rod a little bit
  10. trust me i have done the research but can't translate it to the pond
  11. want to also say that I have looked thru the FAQ but I am a visual learner and don't know how to work the rod to make the bait perform
  12. Well I am a novice bass fisherman and I fish mostly farm ponds and gravel pits in my area of East Central IL from the bank and I am trying to learn to use the Senko but just can't wrap my head around the best way to fish it. I am currently using weightless T rig method but don't know what to do on the retrieve. Anybody know of a good online video that shows the different methods? I used it for the first time last night with absolutely no luck. I at least got 2 bites with the Fat Ika but absolutely nothing with the Senko in the same color..... watermelon/with black flakes... Air Temp was 61* water temp I would estimate around 47-50*... sunny also
  13. Ok thanks CX it is... I appreciate the great discussion
  14. I have the Pflueger Trion GX-7 model# 4740GX it says 195yds of 10# test line I am just wanting a good line that has low memory and stretch... I aint a pro but I just want some good equipment that I don't have to worry about like I do when I use fricken baitcasters
  15. well I haven't used a baitcasting reel but a few times and all of which resulted in BIRD"S NEST after bird's nest I can't get it down so I said forget it... all I use now is spinning reels
