I watched a guy 3 years ago catch an 8 pound walleye on powerbait the first day of trout season..?? What is it with walleye and powerbait? Out of the top 5 walleye in PA last year, 2 were taken on powerbait!!?? I'm about to hang up the jigs, crawlers, and all that junk and find me a "Y" stick....

I have seen the lakes but have only fished the small pond bellow wellsboro. Surprisingly that pond/lake holds some pretty respectable bass. Most of my time up there is spent on pine creek. If you are ever interested in catching some walleye maybe we could meet up sometime and i could hopefully put us on some. I floated it last year early spring and saw one that would be pushing the state record. That's where my 31 3/4 came from and the other fish dwarfed it. However, those fish see so many baits throughout the year, prepare to be frustrated. There's nothing more upsetting than watching a 10+ pounder chase a bait to your feet 20 times. The fish commission keeps saying how great of a smallmouth bass and trout fishery it is, I fish about 150-200 hours a year just on pine creek and they lie. There are fish in there but doesnt even compare to 8-9 years ago.

my name is jeremy, i am 21 years old. i started fishing as soon as i could hold a rod. i build houses with my father so i have almost every night open for fishing when im not with the little lady. my first year out of high school i fished for 153 days straight. i am having such a hard time finding a bass fishing club to join since i live in the carlisle, pa area. my goal for the year is to get my dads 23' stratos back on the water after 10 years of sitting in the garage... my personal best is 7lb 6oz largemouth, 5lb 5oz smallmouth, 5lb 9oz butterfly peacock bass, 24 inch trout on a fly and 31 3/4 inch walleye (batteries were dead on scale.. very upsetting).. other than fishing i hunt for everything and im on the slopes snowboarding during with winter when im not on the susquehanna.
