  1. He is a blast to watch. Luckily their offense is nowhere near as good as the D, so the Sooners will still limp away with the title.
  2. Bought some as a "joke" for my wife. Joke's on me.
  3. Watermelon red seems to be my go to regardless of degree of water clarity (I don't fish anything with less than 2' of visibility, usually 10'+)
  4. Right on brother. By the way, you should be able to walk normally within 4-6 weeks depending on your type of graft and weight bearing restrictions. Once you're walking well you should be able to start fishing again as long as you're content staying in fairly level terrain. Best of luck with a speedy recovery.
  5. Ton of talent... just a bit crazy.
  6. Goodness gracious, that's a HUGE fish. Thanks for sharing.
  7. Around the spawn I seem to do really well but other parts of the year it pretty much stinks (during the day).
  8. If it comes down to me catching 1-2 per day at Clear Lake with plastics when things slow down or catching 8-10 with a minnow... get me some minnows!
  9. Not familiar with Kriet's rod, but in that same $200 range are a lot of nice rods, such as Dobyns Champions, Loomis rods (higher end models like IMX and sometimes even GLX will be in your price range on sale and/or slightly used), St Croix Avids, and Shimano Crucials and Cumuras. If you want something unique than the Kriet rod may be for you, but if you want something that has some history you may want to use the "search" option in this forum for a ton of reviews on the other rods mentioned. Good luck!
  10. I have both those rods and a Citica. First of all, I'll say that the Citica is the best of the three... love that reel (performs over its price point in my opinion). I like my Veritas just a little bit better than the Mojo, but I enjoy both of them. I've since upgraded with higher end Loomis, St Croix, and Dobyns rods, but I still feel pretty confident on the days I leave the higher priced gear at home. To be honest, the one that you think looks better and/or feels better is the one you should get. Don't let us try to talk you into one over the other. By the way, that Citica would look and perform great on a new Compre.
  11. Can't beat quality non-stop crankbait hits. Nice job.
  12. Watermelon Rd Flk
  13. That was a pretty ticky tack call against that poor kid. C'mon... a kicker gets a TD and you're going to call it back because he put his arms out for a premature hug???
  14. Well I enjoyed it, but that had to be tough to watch for Longhorn fans. That young team has a ton of potential... just not at OU's level this year. Hopefully they go on to a solid bowl as the Sooners pursue another championship.
  15. Just actually had my first skunk of the season yesterday. Fall has always been hit/miss on my home lake, and two weeks ago was off the hook while yesterday was a complete miss. I waved the white flag after 4 hours without a hit. Just happens sometimes.
  16. Awesome response Matt... thanks for the education.
  17. You're right on, Glenn. He was good for football, but he hasn't been too good for the Raiders the past few+ years.
  18. You're going to love the reel and that rod will be a nice breaking in rod until you can upgrade a bit. Enjoy!
  19. Wow, that is an incredible outting. The two spots at once had to be a crazy fight.
  20. Awesome job... certainly earned your handle there. Nice when something pops into our heads (a perceived pattern) and it comes through big time like that. Cool you put your buddy on some nice fish as well.
  21. That would be one heck of a place to go to college(in a good way). Better start lining up for your student football tickets ASAP!
  22. Beautiful fish... nice job!
  23. Texas should make it competitive early, but I see OU pulling away and winning by 2+ TD's by the time it's over. Next year should be very, very close.
  24. I may be reading this wrong, but it sounds as though you can just download it onto your computer as an MP3 or wma and just turn around and burn it onto a cd.
