Wow, I can't believe this has turned into 5 pages. I look like a walking TW billboard when I'm not working... wear whatever the heck you like out on the water. I highly doubt there will be any tools calling you out as not actually being "sponsored" (if someone is actually sponsored themselves, they're probably going to have better things to do than go around looking to harrass other fishermen that are not).

The kid that catches a 12 pound LM on a Roostertail while throwing a spinner for planter trout is lucky, someone that consistently catches fish has some skill. At least that's what I keep telling myself after seeing that little kid double the size of my PB.

Huge OU fan and I'm absolutely loving this. Still nervous as heck but the TD just now to make it 38-24 makes me feel a tiny better for the time being!

Where do you lose your lure (line to line junction or at the lure tie)? If you think you cast pretty hard I'd bet you cast really hard, so for the short term you may want to back off 25%.

Two for me (#8 and 10) and the fishing was so good at Hayden when I was up there for a week I never bothered to drive the 10 minutes to get to #9.

Santa brought me my 2014 fishing license but the only fishing items were from our BR gift exchange (Ghoti), which is why I love to participate. I do too well of a job buying myself gear all year long, so my wife figures she should buy me some work clothes so I quit wearing the same pair of pants every day

Wow, there are some great responses. 1) Be willing to go big all winter long to catch the pig trout chasers 2) Be willing to go really small in gin clear/heavily pressured water (I've caught a number of 5 lbs+ on a 1/16 oz jig and a buddy caught a 12 in my boat last year) 3) Pay attention to when/where/how you caught your bigger fish. Odds are similar sized fish will be in that area the following year when conditions are comparable.

Just started really using them this year and blown away by the results. I'm usually fishing in/around rocks and sparse wood and use Yamamoto's internal jighead just about all the time.

Only thing I hate about it is when I'm on my way to work and pass someone towing a boat on their way to the lake. I start feeling an itch in my throat as though I should call in sick...

Thanks Dwight... that idea sounds fantastic since it's definitely not cheap shipping a 7'5" rod. Jign... I would agree if they hadn't fixed the issue after that first run. I have a few other NRX's and gave them a thorough inspection after this and they all look great.

Couldn't have said it better... already received confirmation they'll take care of it and I can hold onto the Wild Card. I'll send off the rod early next week and see how long it takes for them to get me a replacement.

Definitely a fan but haven't used it over 12#. If it feels too stiff spray some KVD L&L conditioner and you'll be all set.

I agree with the 9". You don't need to get too carried away. That 9" will call 'em in if they're in the neighborhood.
