  1. Yeah, that's no fun at all and definitely something you don't want to share with your wife! Hopefully she's feeling quite a bit better now.
  2. Yikes... sorry to hear that. If she subluxed and tore her labrum you're toast for the next few months, more of the same if she tore the cuff. Cross your fingers and say a prayer that it's just sore and she'll wake up tomorrow feeling 50% better already.
  3. Not cool, not cool at all!
  4. Bro, you're really starting to confuse me! If you're mostly going to use for topwater you definitely don't want a heavy.
  5. It all depends on your county. Pretty much a given up here in the hills where I live but in the Bay Area and SoCal it is generally very difficult. As a business owner hopefully they'll quickly grant you one regardless.
  6. 100+ fish in February... you da man!
  7. Couldn't agree more. I'd love to have them out to the Delta or Clear Lake... bonus would be I could see all of their spots and techniques.
  8. Goofy. I always try to keep things light and goof around for a cheap laugh from my kids.
  9. My father in law also passed away three years ago and way too young (56 from undiagnosed end stage metastatic cancer). Thoughts and prayers sent to you and your family as you face these incredibly difficult days ahead.
  10. Lightly toasted sourdough Crunchy but smooth is good as well Can't lose with strawberry Add crunchy Cheetos to the middle for a nice change** **sounds crazy but you've gotta try it once
  11. Sorry about that... I was a couple minutes too late! Looking at the specs on TW, I'd recommend the 7' MH due to the better range of lure ratings (1/4-3/4 for the 7' v 3/15-5/8 with the 6'10"). Either way should be a great versatile rod for you.
  12. Unless you're incredibly dialed into your equipment, I do not think you'll notice much of a difference between the two. I'd be much more concerned about the rod company and action than those two inches. Have you narrowed down your choices to any specific rods?
  13. Looking at your jersey I'm guessing you'd take a Powell Max over an NRX any day as well? Just playin... couldn't resist.
  14. I'm picking up a Curado I or Chronarch Ci4 when the Classic sale starts... or I'm not going to be happy. If they're already out of those two when they open I'll be going upstairs to get a Ruger 10/22 to add to my mini arsenal. Gotta have a backup plan for the gift cards that have been buring a hole in my wallet since Christmas.
  15. PT and directly manage a few clinics and 40+ employees. Only bummer is each promotion = less time to fish. So far it's been worth it but it's close.
  16. Only when I end up with one of the trebles in my finger while the other two are in them...
  17. Lots of good information fellas... I hope this thread keeps going for another few pages.
  18. I may have come down with the same illness. Back before I "knew" anything about bass fishing the only time we'd chase them would be early summer beating the banks with spinnerbaits. Seemed like pretty much every cast we'd get a fish or hit and now that I've been primarily fishing for bass the past few years I can't seem to catch one on a spinnerbait. Go figure.
  19. Sorry about that... dropped the reply from RW's recommendation on page one. Nice call on the Dobyns... I have three Champions and you'll be happy with your selection. I'd still recommend the Symetre for the reel... they packed some high qualiy components into that reel (I have 2).
  20. 100% agreed. Tough to beat this combo in your budget. Lew's certainly makes quality reels, but I don't think their spinning line can touch the Symetre (may just be me, but I'd definitely take a Symetre over the Team Gold Carbon). Duckett v an Avid is not even a contest, no offense to Mr Duckett.
  21. Tatulas have been really well received and I think it's probably more "tackle snobs" or fans of other manufacturers that call them really bulky. This is coming from a borderline tackle snob and Shimano fan for what it's worth. Anyhow, I have reels that I enjoy fishing from Lews, Daiwa, Abu, and Shimano, but in my experience the quality and durability is just better with Shimano. The new Curado is nowhere near a "silver G series"... have you seen the pics and the specs? They're an upgrade from the E series this time around. In order for you to make the right decision for you, you're probably going to have to check all 3 out in person to see which you like best.
  22. Definitely a confidence thing for me. I prefer black nickel with red being a distant second place. The broze/gold hooks just look cheap and I try to change them out whenever I get the chance.
  23. I'd second the Hudd 68. Just because there aren't any trout in there doesn't mean they won't eat one if it "swims" across the front of their face (trout baits work well at Clear Lake despite the absence of trout there). If you drop some gold fish into a bass tank they'll destroy them regardless if they've ever seen them before. Just something to think about...
  24. Dang, another beauty... you've always walked the talk with the Rage Tail line. Congrats yet again!
  25. x2. In all seriousness, these are basic junior high level grammatical errors. Just knowing when to use its v it's, their v there v they're, and lose v loose would be HUGE. I do not understand how someone could have the passion to develop arguably the best bass fishing magazine around and yet pay zero attention to the quality of the written word within its pages. I've seen Mark on Angler West Television fishing Shasta with Russ Meyer and he seems like a great guy I'd love to support, but man... PLEASE put some effort into cleaning it up.
