  1. A shark fin mask was a bit of a surprise while dragging a jig on a lake, but the Delta has a bit of a reputation for some things you'd never want to see being "cemented" on the bottom. Once played around with a snag that was awkwardly heavy but would slowly give with pressure. My brain started playing some what if games with me so I decided to break it off. It was just a large branch I keep telling myself...
  2. Nice PB and best of luck with the mount. Once you get it done be sure to show us some pics!
  3. Very nice!
  4. Lots of funny ones but the rottweiler running through the neighborhood towing a saw horse after getting spooked was hilarious.
  5. With that report I think you may have sold a few more baits for them, including at least one for me on my next order...
  6. Beautiful fish... not the slightest bit envious of that amazing trip!
  7. I don't target beds when I'm fishing in the spring, but that certainly doesn't mean I'm not still catching fish on beds. There is a video of Ike and Jared Lintner catching some bed fish on Clear Lake in July on a 100* day that really opened my eyes... almost impossible to avoid beds unless you avoid the bank altogether for a few months,
  8. Also a fan of the U-40 on all of my rods
  9. Also picking Kansas but that's pretty tough for me to do as an OU fan. A month ago I thought the Sooners would be seriously challenging for the title and although they still have a chance I'm actually worried about the Cal State Bakersfied game.
  10. Crazy how a number of places got them in during the Classic but a retail giant like Bass Pro gets them later than everyone else or in short supply.
  11. Nice find and thanks for the heads up!
  12. Wow, that is crazy. Best of luck to all of you guys keeping your homes dry!
  13. Unless things changed with their recent warehouse move you'd be shocked with the tiny "store" at the front of the warehouse. Their storefront probably generates less than .01% of their business. SLO is a cool place to visit, but definitely do not make the trip to go to the TW store. If you're potentially looking to return something long after the fact I think Cabela's or GM (and BPS?) are more likely to cave in on a questionable return than TW. I've heard stories of Cabela's taking back things most people would shake their heads at.
  14. Bummer but I get the feeling it will be worth the wait!
  15. Curado 70HG arrived from TW today and I paired it up with a neglected Extreme HP 742C that's been sitting abandoned on the rod rack since Black Friday. Can't wait to get this combo out on the water!
  16. A bit surprised with some of the KVD "hate" in this thread... the guy is a living legend and still remains competitive despite having more outside commitments (e.g., tv shows, appearances, representing his sponsors, lure development, etc) than pretty much any other tournament angler in history. His Elite and FLW peers on Major League Fishing sure have a ton of respect for him and never discount him as being a one trick pony, and I don't think you'll ever hear any of them say he can't win past May or compete for an AOY title.
  17. Wow, awesome fish. Congrats!
  18. If they're active you can pretty much choose whatever you'd like to do because they'll all work. That being said, the simplest thing to do is let it sink to the bottom and just start a slow steady retrieve (oftentimes they'll pick it up before it even has a chance to reach the bottom). Get ready for a case of bass thumb.
  19. Sweet! Looks like the 8.2 I had in my cart at TW just sold out, so it's going to have to be a 7.2 for me. Thanks for the update!!
  20. Trick worm but the fluke is more fun to fish (IMO)
  21. Almost the same as turtle... 4" grub on a 1/8 oz darterhead is tough to beat for numbers and an occasional biggin
  22. Yep, looks about right. Have to admit I really liked getting same weekend coverage of the event up until they changed it a couple years ago to reportedly get better production quality out of the showing. That being said, the past two years I've still enjoyed catching up on the live blog and then watching the weigh-ins.
  23. Very nice. Well done Glenn and hopefully there are more to come!
  24. Anyone fish with theirs yet? I'm incredibly close to pulling the trigger on one at full retail, and I cannot remember the last time I paid full retail for a rod or reel. Just seems like the perfect addition for my Dobyns HP 742, but I'd love to read a review from someone before ordering it.
