Glad to hear about the shorter spinning rods... almost pulled the trigger on the 702 for my daughter at ISE last year after talking to Gary and his crew, but she's more comfortable with a 6'6". Could be adding one to the arsenal soon.

Agree with Smelter... definitely going to see some updates coming. However, the Veritas 2.0 on sale at TW surprised me since it seems like it was just recently updated. Shimano and Daiwa have really stepped their game up since the g3 Revos came out and it will be interesting to see what Abu does with the g4's.

Curado e was great and I'd definitely pull the trigger on them at $79 assuming they're in good shape. The next generation Curado g's were not as well regarded and I wouldn't be as excited for that deal (still a solid deal if you like the reel).

Hey Tom... guessing there might be a typo there! My wife and young daughters also do surprisingly well when they're not swimming on the other side of the boat, reading, or just relaxing. Sometimes makes me wonder what the heck I'm doing with all of that tackle when they're killing them on grubs and senkos.

If Stren offered to pay me a chunk of money to use their line I'm pretty sure all that Tatsu and Invizx would find its way off the spools pretty quickly...
