  1. Coopers are great tires and their AT's are tough to beat. I tend to run MT's on my Ram 2500 and go with Toyo's since they're allegedly the longest lasting MT's, but I ran Cooper AT's on my old 1/2 ton for 10+ years, my wife's SUV's for the past 15+ years, and my dad's f-350 for 10+ years without a single issue.
  2. Action has been pretty "meh" lately, but it feels like a great bite is right around the corner. Temps 52-54*.
  3. Had some snow in the morning at the house but the weather treated us well for the quick trip to the lake. Just 5 fish in 3 hours with a rare skunk for Pops, and all they seemed interested in was a Neko rig. This chubby fella had a lot more girth than length. All the fish looked really well fed which I take as a good sign heading into spring. Decent spot that fought a lot bigger than he was.
  4. Didn't even realize how many I had until I saw this thread... Swimbaits- DC 795, FR 806, DC 867 Crankbaits- DC 765 glass, DC 805 A-rigs, large swim jigs- DC 765 FLIP Frogs- FR 735 Senkos, small Keitechs- DX 742 C All around finesse- FR 662 S
  5. Blasphemy! Cheers turned me into a lifelong Sox fan, so it's gotta be my GOAT show (when watching in its day, if started watching for the first time now that probably wouldn't be the case). Frasier was a good show and I liked how it had carry over (and appearances) from Cheers but was unique in its own right. Only issue with the show was the dad always used his cane in the wrong hand despite having a PT there to help him 24/7. Smh. We just experienced what you described with Cobra Kai... didn't know much about it and had low expectations, but it sucked us right in with the continued story line from the Karate Kid movies and our family binged all 3 seasons in a couple weeks.
  6. Wow for the Memphis area! I was going to say I had no idea it gets that cold or snowy there, but after doing a little research it looks like it's not supposed to. Crazy you may get 300%+ of your annual snowfall over the course of the next couple days. Hotmessville right around the corner...
  7. Going to have to add LoomisMegabass to your screen name! Awesome selection of new rods. I may be adding one of the P5's to my arsenal this spring and have narrowed it down to the x-bites, tequilla bacc, or dark sleeper. I'm really curious to hear what you think about your new lineup.
  8. Nice when your handle matches the swimbait. I almost picked one up for my Tranx but barely talked myself out of it.
  9. On a what type of unhealthy things did you have over the Superbowl weekend note... Pulled pork sandwiches after an 18hr smoke (forgot to get a pic) Smoked chicken legs Smoked mac&cheese rolled into balls and fried Coconut shrimp
  10. Got out for a few hours after some cold storms blew through the area. Can't remember the last time I saw the lake 50* but luckily a few fish were still willing to play. This little fella hit an underspin and spit up a brush hog... had to feel a lot better after throwing that up. Pops with one of his better ones. My best one of the day.
  11. Awesome job and can't beat catching a 50 pounder on bass gear! Video reminded me of a recent Zona show where he's trying to break his tube off on a snag and Seth Feider tells him, "You have a fish, idiot." ?
  12. It's pretty parabolic and IMO the 250 (6.5oz) is in the rod's sweet spot. Really enjoyable to fish with and paired with the Cardiff you should be able to launch those baits a long ways.
  13. Congratulations! Be sure to take some pre- and post-pics for us so we can see the progress you and your team make.
  14. 806 and 867 are great treble bait rods and you would be okay throwing an 8" Hudd on them (no problem with a 68). If you're primarily going to be throwing large jig hook swimbaits like the 8" or 10" Hudd then you'd be better off with the 807. If you're looking for one rod that does well throwing big soft baits like Hudds and larger glides then the IMX Pro 966 or MB Destroyer Onager are worth considering.
  15. Dry Creek Outfitters drop shot tube has been a big producer for me the past few years. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Dry_Creek_275_Drop_Shot_Tube_10pk/descpage-DCDST.html
  16. Awesome fish! Not quite a DD but sure as heck worth trying to chase her down again in a couple months.
  17. Finally had our first decent storm of the season with 8" Sunday night/Monday. Big storm coming in tonight with local blizzard warnings of 8-12" of snow and 40+ mph winds with 5-8ft of snow expected in the higher elevations. Hopefully this will be the end of the drought conditions.
  18. Exceptional player and from everything I've seen and read a great man as well. Even more impressive he was able to be an all-time great at a time he always had to have his head on a swivel. His era has always been my favorite in the history of baseball... something about the way the game was played back then and the stars of the day (Aaron, Ted Williams, Stan Musial, Willie Mays, DiMaggio and Mantle, etc) that for a time made them seem larger than life.
  19. We lost a longtime family friend to malignant melanoma a couple months ago, and it was one of those things that hit close to home and pretty much immediately sent me to the dermatologist for a checkup (hadn't been in a few years). Fortunately my visit went well with just a few pre-suspicious things frozen off (always wear a hat and hoodie), but since his apparently started in his lips it's given me a new focus on spf chapstick while out on the water.
  20. Sad to see this but at the same time find some comfort knowing he was able to celebrate one more Thanksgiving and Christmas with his loved ones before passing. Always a friendly, kind and uplifting person on here and he'll definitely be missed. Thoughts and prayers for his friends and family that are grieving the loss of a great man.
  21. Took my girls out for a quick afternoon trip... fishing was a B- but the time together on the water was an A+. Gotta love the teamwork Fish of the day
  22. Dark sleeper does pretty well out here and they seem to like it dragged/hopped on the bottom or on a slow steady swim right off the bottom. No gobies in my primary lake but it looks plenty edible to them... be worth adding a couple of them to your arsenal.
  23. As much as we need some snow and rain I have to say fishing in January with temps in the high 60's wasn't so bad. Pops with a nice one They were liking the dark sleeper
