  1. Well, so much for that. Now that we know that was 8 years ago it's still confirmed there's no bass worth catching out here. πŸ˜†
  2. Recently saw the billionaire who owns Chobani purchased it a couple months ago and plans to have everything back up and running by the end of the year.
  3. What a transformation! The "after" pic looks like she's been hitting the gym with you and is ready for a triathlon!!
  4. Best of luck on a speedy recovery. Considering your symptoms are to the point you need an ulnar nerve transposition and carpal tunnel release, it's safe to say you're going to enjoy fishing so much more come springtime. The time away will be well worth the wait!
  5. Been a mostly dry summer for me but couldn't pass up adding these to the collection this weekend. The difference between a smoky bourbon and smoky scotch is quite striking!
  6. Didn't have enough time to take a full day trip into a backcountry lake, but it was still great spending a couple hours on some high country trails.
  7. You know I'm just messing with you! And speaking of... We were able to sneak in one last evening trip before she headed back to college. Of course she broke the first rule again and caught the first fish. I could almost hear this fella say "toss it back on the bank." πŸ˜† "Biggest" bass of the evening Apparently even bluegill like underpins. Double hookup and I was relieved when she boat flipped hers. πŸ˜† Beautiful sunset to top off a great evening.
  8. That first one on the rising son has a crazy curvature! Nicely done btw... what a great trip! You jinxed yourself with all that happy to just be on the water nonsense. πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜‰πŸ˜†
  9. Happy birthday to an absolute legend!
  10. My crazy nephew in Yosemite. Can't imagine seeing that and thinking, yeah I can climb that. πŸ˜†
  11. Nothing too exciting, but for July I'll gladly take it.
  12. Agreed. Flushing can create new problems, so drop, drain, replace the filter, and rest easy knowing you're doing all the right things to get to 200k+.
  13. Congrats on the incredible trip!
  14. Best of luck getting to brush one of them when the others are around to object someone else is getting attention πŸ˜†
  15. Frick, as if it wasn't bad enough on its own that's awful for you to get covid even if it is a tiny shell of its formal self. She is so strong and resilient no doubt we'll be seeing her out in the canoe with you slaying smallies in 3-4 weeks.
  16. I was a little worried for you after game 1 but it was great seeing them turn things around late in game 2. Of course it wouldn't have been the Vols if they didn't make it closer than it needed to be the last couple innings of game 3. πŸ˜†
  17. Awesome job! Landing 14 over the course of an hour was an incredible way to close out the day. Be carrying out that canoe like Kramer...
  18. Fish were mostly noncompliant, so it was nice being distracted by this eagle on the shore we were working. First, most, and biggest again... kid needs to go back to college πŸ˜† Yep, that was it for me...
  19. My oldest is home for a few weeks for the summer before heading back to school. Not many things bring more joy than a 3 generation trip out on the water. Beautiful morning... Of course she violated the boat rules of me or Pops catching the first, biggest, and most. 😎 Thankfully I was able to catch a decent one and not be too embarrassed. Surprise crappie Not the double hookup he was hoping for πŸ˜† Time for the boys to regroup
  20. Looks like a really good day and I'm glad I don't feel like a failure when I don't catch something over 4lbs. πŸ˜†
  21. All over the place in my area. Mountain lakes for trout fishing are free launches. My home lake (bass and trout/kokanee) is $10/day or $70 for an annual pass (what I do each year). "Funny" thing is it was free up until 15+/- years ago and when they started charging they said all fees would go straight back to the lake for facility upgrades. The entry stations subsequently haven't been staffed for many years (were always staffed when it was free) and there haven't been any noteworthy upgrades since they started charging. Where's that money going? (rhetorical question since this is CA after all). A nearby comparable lake is overseen by an irrigation district and they just increased their launch fees again to $35/day or $330/annual pass. That's absolutely ridiculous and I haven't fished it for years since it's no better than my home lake.
  22. If you're only throwing Hudds you may also want to consider the Dobyns 807.
  23. Kudos to you for standing up for yourselves after an awful "guided" trip. Incredible he was thinking he should be paid after all of that instead of just apologizing and saying how thankful he was for the help.
  24. d**n brother, that was an awesome intro to the video. Perfect example of what it's like to have a true partner in life.
