  1. Just a tad below Twain Harte (48-60") ? Wife and daughter headed for their 4th straight "snow day" tmw. Scrubs. ?
  2. Some late winter shenanigans happening here.
  3. Lol, being semi-tough to get and reading reviews does increase the appeal! I've been fortunate to pick them up here and there when DRT does their drops on random Saturday nights on the hour. WCZ will give an email heads up when he's going to drop their collab version (just a custom color- joythief). A big part of the appeal is that it's highly customizable with different "modes" by changing up the tail or bill. Here's a good video if you decide to go down this rabbit hole.
  4. Picked up the DRT/WCZ tiny klash joythief and a pack of citizens.
  5. First time having anything other than their entry level bourbon. Have to say I'm a fan of this cask strength!
  6. Sometimes in the summer when it's 100+ it feels like we're fishing on Mars. ? I'm a big Sox fan and finally made it out to Fenway for a couple games a few years ago. Couldn't be in that part of the country without seeing parts of NH and Maine, so we rented a car and headed up there for a couple days. Maine specifically was lunch in Kennebunkport, a visit to Portland and a quick side trip to Sebago Lake because I couldn't be that close to a lake like that without going to see it in person. You live in an incredibly beautiful part of the country!
  7. None around me but whenever I'm driving through Reno or Missoula it's almost a mandatory stop. So much better than Dick's Sporting Goods IMO and I even prefer them over BPS and Cabala's.
  8. Just ordered a pack. Never had much success on a buzzbait (therefore rarely throw)... going to give it another go this spring/summer with this as the trailer.
  9. Pup loves the snow... Party time on the couch (invited). They love their inside time every night. ?
  10. I finally feel like I have something to contribute to the winter thread. We had an incredible amount of rain earlier this season, but now we have a run of snow coming our way.
  11. Just as it starts to feel like early spring and the pre-spawn, we get a forecast of 9 straight days of snow up at my elevation. I'll really be itching to get out after the upcoming break leading into peak season. Nice spot on an underspin. And another... And another inhaled it. Love seeing images of their unique markings. I keep reminding pops we're not trout fishing, but he just can't help himself. ? Last one of what was a pretty great February day out on the water.
  12. Best swimbait jigheads out there IMO, and their casting and finesse jigs have been great as well.
  13. For the most part, since covid hit they seem to be a bit of an inconsistent mess and remain so today even though nearly every other tackle retailer has figured it out. Awhile back they sent me an email stating they would be cancelling my backordered rod since it had been x-amount of time since I ordered it on black friday... I replied that since it was in stock at the moment I'd much prefer they just ship me the rod. They did. Really odd experience and their attention to detail and customer service has really, really dropped off.
  14. Put 2 more on the back and you can bring 10! ?
  15. I've passed by this one on some road trips and had to give it a try. My bourbon palette is still in its infancy, but I thought it was really solid and it'll be in my weekend sipper rotation.
  16. Tri tip smoked x2 hours Seared in a cast iron pan And sliced for sandwiches Smoked pig shots
  17. Lazy boys enjoying the sunshine.
  18. That was a great game. Wasn't rooting for either one and just wanted a close, entertaining game... it delivered!
  19. Thank you for the kind words! Hopefully the shoreline pics will start having some more green in them as the water level continues to rise. That lake is still 140ft from full pool, but that sure beats the 200+ it was in the fall. The smaller lake below this one's dam is full or close to it nearly year round and has a lot of underwater vegetation. It's like being in two different worlds right next to each other. Riggs is still a pup between the ears and a better name would have been Taz or ADHD Shredder. He's doing pretty well following commands, but not to the point of being ready to be around treble hooks. I think he should be ready for the spring though... fingers crossed!
  20. YOU SHALL NOT PASS. My welcoming crew/security escort when I got home from work.
  21. Last night's sipper for a coffee old fashioned with some orange bitters. Have to say it was a nice surprise.
  22. Riggs: I'll be good if you take me with you. Me: I definitely do not believe you. If this is the first "fish" pic you know it was slow... Beautiful morning and unseasonably warm. Almost made up for the lack of action. First fish of the day... a trout on an underspin. And another accidental trout! Finally a bass. Pops caught one too, but it was a tad small and abruptly returned to the lake to ensure there was no photographic proof. ?
  23. I used to just wear a regular cotton hoodie and bale when I started getting too hot, but I started wearing Simms and Aftco sun protection hoodies last year and loved them. My favorite so far is the Simms custom artwork from The Hook Up Tackle. https://thehookuptackle.com/products/cbp-tech-hoody
  24. Agree with the 843mbr from G Loomis recommendation. Doesn't get much more versatile than that rod in whichever series is at the price point you're looking for (I'd recommend NRX, GLX or IMX pro).
  25. That's the one "+" model that I picked to add to my collection of NRX's. I primarily use it for spinnerbaits and dark sleepers, but it's basically just a longer version of the do-all 843 and could throw jigs, t-rigs and all sorts of other things. Great rod that's super versatile.
