  1. Sounds like Moss was rocking the boat in NE and getting into verbal conflicts with the QB coach and even Belichick. In NE the system is bigger than the individual player, so he was disposable... they're definitely going to miss him (at least the 100% effort version of him). That being said, the fooball fan in me LOVES the idea of seeing Favre throwing deep balls to Moss and opening it up for Peterson. Cool that Moss gets to finish where he started. Even better yet, their first game together is on Monday night.
  2. RH, use LH spinning and RH for BC's. However, I just picked up my first LH baitcaster and get to give it the trial run tmw. Hopefully I didn't make a mistake with the new LH reel.
  3. Wacky on a 1/32 or 1/16 jig head may also catch you a coulple fish. 8-)
  4. I have the 734C and primarily use it for light jigs. It's 3" longer than the 705C you're interested in and medium instead of MH. I've been very pleased and feel that it is pretty balanced and comfortable to cast for a few hours.
  5. I have 3 and they're very nice rods... can't beat quality materials hand crafted in the USA with a lifetime warranty.
  6. Congratulations... looks like you guys had a blast. Nice pics.
  7. I also have the Mojo (paired with a Soron STX) and really like the set up. Mojo's get hammered in some reviews but I really like the 6'8" wacky model.
  8. I'm a fan... seemed to help my landing ratio.
  9. x2... I always have one rigged up.
  10. Cool experiences... kicking myself for not being able to make it out to either of the CA stops this year.
  11. Out here in CA I just tell them that there's more mercury in the bass than a thermometer and I'm not eating them unless I'm starving.
  12. I have a number of reels spooled with the Yozuri and CX and have been very pleased with both of them. Best news of all is that they're both pretty inexpensive. Not gonna lose whichever way you decide to go.
  13. Congrats on finding the cure... amazing how helpful that "search" option can be at times.
  14. That fumble about gave me a heart attack... national championship dreams almost went right out the window. OU should have won that game by 14-17 points, but I'll take a win over Texas anyway it will come. If they quit making things exciting in the 4th quarter and destroy the teams they should beat, it could be Nebraska/Oklahoma to determine who plays Alabama, Ohio State, or Boise for the title (please give OU Boise again!).
  15. OU v. Texas on out here in CA, thank goodness. Heck of a game so far.
  16. Let the decade of dominance begin... war SOONERS!
  17. Thread back from the dead. If you don't mind orange... the Shimano Sonoras are nice and smooth sub-$50 reels.
  18. I've only been using BC's a couple years now and just went traditional with RH to go along with all of my LH spinning reels. It seems like it would be more normal for me to use a LH BC reel, so I just picked up the Curado to to see if I should switch over to LH for the BC's before I buy too many RH reels. I haven't had it on the water yet but have to admit that it feels a little awkward with a couple false casts in the garage.
  19. Hopefully that will work for you.... I just picked up this same reel and haven't had the chance to take it out yet. Good luck!
  20. At that price point I'd save $20 and just pick up a Shimano Sahara... tough to beat with other sub-$100 reels.
  21. Still not available at TW... looking forward to picking up a few.
  22. Entertaining read... I was curious how a 2 day old post about swimbaits exploded into 4 pages already. Surprised this didn't elevate a bit more to the point of getting LOCKED down.
  23. Yep, awesome moments followed by some, "What the heck was that?" moments. Texas will probably lose 3-4 games this year and be top 10 again next year. Although I hope OU makes a run at the BCS title, I could see Nebraska winning the Big 12 title this year against OU or Texas.
  24. Just wait until OU gets a hold of them.
  25. Get yourself a couple packs of Yamamoto single tail grubs in smoke and watermelon, rig them on 1/8 oz darterheads, work them slowly, and enjoy all the fish you'll catch. 8-)
