The new Pinnacle Primmus Xi Hand Tuned bait casting reel will be available to the public beginning January 2014. Our new Primmus Xi (model PR10Xi) and Producer LTE (model PRD10LTE) bait casting reels are light weight (under 6 oz.) additions to our Tournament Class line up this year.

Pinnacle's Perfecta DHC5-7112CAHFS is the model that was specifically designed for Paul Elias to his exact specifications. It is now part of our Perfecta series line-up. Rod Specs: 7'11" 2-piece telescopic, Heavy action, Fast taper, 1/2 - 3oz lure wt.; 14-30 lb line weight, applications - heavy flipping, pitching, umbrella rig.

In regards to Pinnacle reel parts… We strive to keep adequate parts inventory on our reels 5-7 years after the final production run. That being said, some of our reels have had very lengthy production runs due to their continued popularity. In such instances it is not uncommon for us to still carry parts inventory on reels produced 10 years ago, or beyond. Bottom line, our Service Department does everything we can to help customers keep their new and/or older equipment maintained and working.

Hi jerk bait junkie, Sorry to hear of your recent thumb bar breaking. We can certainly give you some info/options to get you back to fishing with your reel. The Platinum Plus LP100 thumb bar (clutch bar assembly #24) can be ordered for $2.50 through our parts department. There is also a $2.50 shipping/handling fee on all small parts orders. We also offer a reel repair service for $7.50 + parts + return shipping costs for reels out of warranty. All Pinnacle reels carry a 1-year warranty... so you may still have the option of repairing your reel under warranty. The thumb bar is secured by sliding it over the metal arm shown in your picture (clutch cam #30) while tracking between the reel housing. We do not recommend or feel gluing would insure a secure fit. As far as a service issue... we do receive occasional requests for replacement thumb bars on older reels, but do not see thumb bars breaking as a consistent problem.
