  1. Shelbyville water temps on the north end as of Tuesday were 51-56 degrees and southern end of the lake were low to mid 40's! The north end is slightly stained....around eagle where your putting in at will be perfectly fine! Enjoy the nice day tomorrow and let us know how you do!
  2. Fellas I just wanted to let yall know that Shelbyville is open for the most part. South end of the lake is all open. North end is spotty. The lake i at full winter draw down so now is the time to get on the lake and mark all ur stumps, points, tress, etc for the spring and summer and fall when there is 8+ft more of water on them! Just be real careful wen runnin right now and follow the marker buoys!
  3. Shelbyville can be a great bass lake. There is usually tournaments there every weekend, sometimes 2 or 3 clubs at a time. Illini Team Trail visits there 2 or 3 times a year as well. Im a hardcore crappie fisherman but do quite a bit of bass fishing too. South end of the lake is much better for bass numbers, but north end I would say is better for big fish. By south end I mean Findley Bridge or Eagle Creek-to the dam.
  4. Hi all! Been signed up for about a week now but just been lurking. Checking out the smallies forums. Im from mattoon, Il. 45 min south of champaign. I saw a charleston member on here... I fish Shelbyville exclusively, so if any of you guys get out this year let me know and id like to put some faces to names! I also dont like the hp restrictions it should be no wake!!! some of the best bass lakes have hp restrictions and my 150 wont do squat there!
