  1. The only one I have tried is the Pit Boss, it catches fish. I like Black/blue and green pumpkin.
  2. I started smoking when I was 15, and I was 100% healthy. I used snuff/chew to help me quit smoking, after a few years of snuff/chewing, dental issues began to appear. I then quit using tobacco products (except for a few relapses). You don't want to become addicted to tobacco products, it WILL affect your health if you do. Old fellow down the street from me just had a lung removed, 71 yo lifelong smoker. He's still alive but his quality of life just took a big hit.
  3. Finally got mine, ordered on 7/1 received 7/11.
  4. 102 here yesterday (record for the date), 100 forecast for today, 90's, 100's for the foreseeable future. I'm going to be on the water today at 0500, anticipate being off at 0900. I'm looking forward to October!
  5. I emailed them and they sent me a shipping conf. number, should be getting the reel Monday.
  6. I ordered on 7/1 and still no shipping info, I emailed them and asked them to update me on status. A buddy of mine ordered one at about the same time and heard nothing from them either, he emailed them requesting status and they finally did send him a shipping conf. number. It sounds like a case of the squeaky wheel gets the grease, I'd suggest firing off an email with your order number and asking what the heck is up.
  7. I ordered one on Friday, but I have not received a shipping confirmation.
  8. Hooligan has about sold me on a Cumara crankin stick something else to consider is that you can LAUNCH a crank on a 7'10" rod. Distance is important when you're deep crankin and you want that bait walking on the bottom as long as possible.
  9. Yep, depends on bait size.
  10. Had to get one myself at that price. I wonder how much inventory they have left?
  11. I have used the Pit Boss, and it catches fish. I was just checking out the Bottom Hopper and they have some interesting colors, and the price is right. I see TW has just started their %15 off 4th of July sale, might be time to scoop some of these up. But the last thing I need is more bags of plastics, I'm going to try and hold off until the Labor Day sale.
  12. I like Zoom Ol Monsters but there are times when I do well with the 6" Zoom U-Tale. Seems that in this neck of the woods, once it gets to be mid-summer the bigger worms work better than the samller ones. Seems that when I watch tourneys on TV, that the pros, if they're throwing a worm, will thorw a big worm. Not all the time, but usually they are tossing a big worm, and I've heard them say that they feel they can catch bigger fish on a bigger worm. They know they aren't going to win a tourney with a limit of 12" fish.
  13. I haven't had too much of a problem with appendages getting easily ripped off with the Havocs, Reation Innovations 4.20, or Megabugs. There is a major brand that I won't mention, that if a 2 inch minnow nips it, one of the claws will be gone.
  14. I have one, and yes it is similar to fiberglass, soft tip, but yet it can handle deep diving cranks. The tradeoff is lack of sensitivity. With the length and soft tip, you can cast big deep diving cranks a long ways. That being said, I'm not much of a crank fisher and don't have any other crank rods to compare it to. I don't know if it's a rod I would want for smaller cranks, but I like it for big, deep divers.
  15. The Abu reels are made for the experienced angler who knows how to get the most from a reel. Shimanos are best for beginners who are intimidated by superbly engineered products like Abu reels.
  16. I like my Premiers, very consistent and easy to use, but some reels work for some folks and not for others. My Shimanos usually stay at home.
  17. It looks sweet, but I would like to see some unbiased reviews when it comes out.
  18. I do get hung up fishing whacky senkos around brushpiles and buckbrush, weedless hooks help a little, but hangups still occur, just have to live with it and go dig them out, because that's where the fish are.

  20. I took the screw off, and slip the O-rings on one at a time as needed.
  21. Green Pumpkin/black flake or Green Pumpkin/Purple flake Black with blue or red flake Watermelon Seed
  22. TW is having a one day sale on SK 4X, 5X and 6X cranks. $3.26 each.
  23. Another vote for Texas Tackle.
  24. Thanks for the reply, I can see why there aren't very many manufacturers that offer the Biffle head stuff. In this area Biffle Bugging is the "hot" technique this spring.
