  1. Sometimes those "micro-bites" are a big bass on the other end. I get a lot of slack line bites on falling jigs also, usually it's pretty subtle, don't want to miss those either. I like a little luxury.

    Craws

I primarily fish Zoom, Rage and Netbait products. And, every once in a while, a Chigger Craw. I like to have choices and experiment around with different stuff. My favorite is whatever is working the best that day.
  3. Zoom Trick worm.
  4. I like a quality rod for bottom contact fishing, such as c-rigging and t-rigging. Is an NRX more sensitive than a mid-range rod by a factor of X2? I can't without doing a side by side test with similar lines, reels, weights, etc. But I can say that an NRX or GLX at least as far as the bottom contact rods, are very sensitive and are fun to fish with. I also won't pay full retail for an NRX or GLX. Not that I'm critical of those who do, but either wait for a sale, or check E-bay and the fishing site want ads. You can get some really great deals if you are patient and shop around. Very important also to get the original receipt or a wild card if you go the NRX or GLX route. As far as moving baits like cranks, sensitivity isn't an issue for me, I just want something that is light, loads up well for a casting a crank that is in the rods weight range, and has a soft tip for hook setting and keeping the fish on. Line type is also important when it comes to sensitivity.
  5. The Chikara is now in stock at TW.
  6. Good job! Thanks for the info on fishing the Red Eye. I haven't fished that lure much myself.
  7. I can see that logic, for someone that hasn't fished a jerk bait a lot, buy a 110 in a "hot" color and you've got something you can fish with confidence while learning the ropes. But the 110's aren't a magic bait, I wish they were, I've got a bunch of them. I've had many days where other, less expensive, baits have worked and the Megabass did not.
  8. The 110's are great baits, but don't be fooled into thinking the "knockoffs" aren't great baits also. A lot of fishing jerkbaits has to do with confidence and ability, a $7 bait in the hands of a good jerk bait fisherman will do just as well as the $25 version.
  9. I was there yesterday, up the White river channel. Good luck on your trip!
  10. I credit that win to the Chiefs defense and special teams. Should have been a blow out, KC's offense didn't impress me, but they did a good job of not beating themselves.
  11. I haven't but it's on my list of things to try.
  12. I like my Gen 3 Revo SX. I've got a 1/2 dozen Premiers, a few Zillions and a couple of green Curados. The Curados don't get fished much compared to the other reels.
  13. Zoom Ultravibe Speed craws, C-rigged, T-rigged, and as jig trailers.
  14. I placed an order them once and it shipped except for a bag of Zoom Ol' Monsters in black/blue flake. They went on back order and literally about 10 months later they came in stock and they shipped them out. They didn't bill me of course until they shipped. TW will do you right.
  15. Tubes and Jigs.
  16. X2 on that, or Trick worm in Watermelon red. Works well on a shakey head also. Zoom, baby, ZOOM!
  17. Thanks for that chart.
  18. I had a Megabass 110 and a Luck E Strike RC STX custom painted in the same color (Norman Flake). When they came back it was virtually impossible to tell them apart. both visually and performance wise.
  19. The RC STX.
  20. Funny thing is, the one shown in the ad is a leftie.
  21. I like black/blue and throw it quite a bit, but GP/Orange is a great color in this neck of the woods.
  22. it is real, I find it hard to believe there are those who don't know what it is.
  23. X2 Line type is very important. I use floro for my bottom contact fishing (c-rigs, t-rigs, dragging jigs), braid is even more sensitive. If you're using any reasonably sensitive rod paired with the right line you should be able to "read" the bottom and detect the lightest of bites.
  24. I Texas rig them and they can work quite well that way. They also work with other methods as mentioned above. For me, they've worked best in late fall and early spring.
  25. Getting back to your original question. Did I survive the sales? The answer is no, I did not. This is my ghost writing this. When I got the bill for all my purchases, I had a heart attack and died.
