I'm looking at a 7'6". Is Medium good enough or does it help to have the extra power of a medium heavy?

How short of a rod would you use for deep diving crankbaits? I have a 7'10" but feel as if it's too big.

Looking to get some alabama rigs, and not spend $25 for one. Found the Eco Pro and was wondering if its made well and holds together for a while? Any other suggestions for cheaper alabama rigs? Thanks!

Wondering what the best gear ratio reel is best for lipless cranks? I've used both a 5.4:1 and a 6.4:1 but just dont know whats right for keeping the bait moving and for ripping it.

What are some good swim jig trailers? I have been using the rage craw jr. but I want something a little bulkier. Are shad shaped trailers better than craw shaped? Thanks!

Whch model of the HMG would you get for shakey heads, drop shots, and finesse type fishing?

I am wanting to get a new spinning rod and reel. I use it for flukes, shakey heads, dropshots, pretty much anything finesse. I am wanting to try a new brand. I have been using Quantum for the past couple of years and my rod and reel right now have been giving me trouble. Has anyone tried the Lew's spinning reels? My budget would be under $150 for a reel and under $150 for a rod. Thanks for the help!

I'm looking forward to summertime worm fishing and I am wondering what is the best rod for worm fishing. I mainly will be throwing 10"-12" worms but occasionally something smaller. I like to throw them with a 3/8oz tungsten(is this too heavy?) along with 14 # flourocarbon. The current rod that I have for this rig is my Quantum Smoke 7' MH. I feel like this rod isn't heavy enough for worm fishing for some reason. I find it very well for things such as chatterbaits, swimjigs, and spinnerbaits but not worms. Is this rod a good rod for worm fishing or should I look into something a little bit longer and heavier? Also what brands are best? Thanks!

January is winding down and I am wondering what many of you do to catch fish throughout February. I know there's not much change in weather patterns for most, it's generally on the chilly side and windy, but when February starts, are there different baits and locations that you begin to use and fish? Or is February very similar to that of January when it comes down to baits and locations to fish? I am in the SouthEast and I've never done much wintertime fishing. Thanks!
