  1. go to little st. Marys and fish deep wood with black weightless trick worm
  2. mid march will be more consistent weather in central fla. there will still be some spawn, but you want to hit it while the bass are still in the grass thick.
  3. a little more specific on which lakes would help.like toho or kississimmee flippin heavy mats is a good option.deeper clear lakes like johns lake brushpiles are the key.it just depends on the body of water. If your a bank beater only, which there is nothing wrong with that, then like stated your going to have to fish very slow and methodical.
  4. Has the drilla started coming back in rodman any?
  5. I visit here as well as a couple more sites.we need to hook up and go. we were fishing s. of rock bluff.accordoing to my buddy it was a slow day for size.. the 5# was a plus though, although they catch that size fairly often...lots of muds, lots of dinks.
  6. Fished the middle section of the suwannee river yesterday. we caught around 30 fish, with 12 being keepers and a dozen or more mud fish. best 5 13+,.Here's the biggest right at 5 lbs.
  7. while im not that good on kingsley, I have over the yrs. fished with some guys who are. And while Im not that adept at jig fishing,it make sense to fish a jig.I will say the guys who I fish with almost always use a drop shot.Especialt in the deeper areas. 25-40'Right now there are some really big fish on bed in 8-13'. there was a 14/4 caught week before last.
  8. mag spped worm in wat. red, green pumpkin, gambler big easy, devils horse. orange springs area or power lines area. you can go the pool and drag a 10'' worm around the stump fields. If your a shiner fisherman go thru the pig trail and fish edge of old river channel.freeline shiners up under vegetation. look for guide boats they'll be in the right area.
  9. never seen any crayfish but doesn,t mean there aren,t any. deep clear spring fed lake with sand bottom with some patches of stringy grass forget the name of it.If your asking if jigs work well, yes they do. Best technique is a drop shot on drops and brushpiles.visit us at floridabassnetwork lots of good info on kingsley.
  10. I live near by OP. not a great bass lake but you should be hitting it at a prime time. The most productive side would be the west side or to the right from the camp ground.the Cyprus just W. of cg is a good early morning top water area. the whole grass line down the w. side or just out from it depending if the fish have moved up in earnest is usually productive. watermelon red trick worm w/ a split shot bumped ever so slowly on outside weedline or same color zoom ultravibe speedworm weightless crawled thru the kississimmee grass will be the ticket..If you have some wind a spinnerbait should work well. As for toho shingle creek would be worth giving a shot.
  11. tough lake. cyprus on w. side of campground on N. end pitch mentioned baits. top water rapala around trees and all along W' side grassline. a black or wat. red trick worm on 12# line with a splitshot 12'' up fished super slow .this time of yr. a trap out at first drop.be careful on s.e. end as there are metal pilings out from bank.
  12. you got the basics.the bite will be dependent on the weather.get a few warm days and things can get good .extended cold spell and you'll have to hunt.salt run will not be as affected because of the springs .If you flip dexter and woodruff and the river around that area will hold some fish.north to ocklawaha mouth will hold schoolers at times. If we happen to have a warm spell prespawners will move up into the eel grass.10'' worms and big easy will get u bit.clarity in G will depend on the wind direction and strength. find clean water.Best advise :get familiar on idle zones, manatee zones, they will pop you.
  13. yes for the most part the st. johns is tannic stained water .access to rodman has been good .schoolers are starting to get active.3-4 #ers are common. Flipping is the best bet at a bigger sack but with the high water fish are scattered. Good days and not so good days.
  14. lots of shrimp +,hi water= tough sleddin on the river. most are going into crescent, down to George or locking into Rodmans if the cabbage is blowed back.It took almost 30 lbs. last sat. in the OGS classic.
  15. the water is the suwannee and santa is above normal but is starting to drop.in a kayak u will have no problems..basslovr, i can send u a couple sr4,s i have plenty. message me ur addy.better yet text me addy my # is 386-266-0359
