  1. Do bass always eat their young or are they eating their neighbors young? Or do they only do this when times are tough? Does someone know more about this. This really intrigues me?!?! ike
  2. Wasn't he on the tv show Bachelor a while back or something like that????
  3. Hello could use some advise on rod turners/dryers. I have been making custom rods for little over 3 years and still don't own my own turner. I am wondering if any of you all have made your own. i have taught serval classes on rod making and the turner needs to be able to turn multiple rods. i have some idea as to how to go about starting but if any of you have any "make sure you do..." or "don't ever do..." that is the kind of stuff i am looking for. Would love any help. thanks ike
  4. it really depends on the acres of the lake and fish per acre and also forage per acre. There is an article out there some where and probably several of them but i beleive the one i am thinking of is from doug hannon. In this he talks about growing or managing your own bass waters/ private ponds or lakes. He talks about how to test the forage and sample fish and all that jazz. Not sure how serious you are about it but there is info out there on how to educate yourself and fix the problem. fyi
  5. There is also a new kind of frog out there from Spro. It has similiar legs to the batwing but has a body like a scum frog. heard good things about it thought i would just throw that in there. ike
  6. I got an idea from another forum and i use it. Walmart has these plastic boxes that are about the size of a shoe box for about 3 bucks. A bag of any kind of plasitics fits in there perfectly. i own two and willneed to purchase a third before this upcoming season. It works very effeciently it is much like a card catalog or a flat rolodex i know no better way. good luck ike
  7. Can't tell you how excited i was to see that method posted. I learned about it from a different fishing forum. It was posted in response to leaving the hook in and it will just fall out mentality. The guy that posted it on the other site told a story about a fish having a hook in its mouth while in captivity for months. WOW. good to get this kind of info out there. i don't think gammies and owners and the like are really ever going to rust out. they are made of some hardcore stuff. ike
