  12. Welcome aboard. The Fishing Bug is very difficult to get rid of. Best to just let it consume you
  13. Same here. Local biologist invited me to come over next time I see them electrofishing. I spoke with him about the Striper I caught in a local reservoir and he was full of great information. Loved talking "shop" with him.

  16. You're a strong man, Hootie
  17. For me it's braid. Braid for spinning, casting, everything. I use 10lb (yellow Power Pro) and 15lb (Power Pro Super Slick) on my spinning reels, and 20lb yellow PP on my casting gear. 10lb is = 2lb test mono diameter 15lb is = 4lb test mono diameter 20lb is = 6lb test mono diameter On each I'll tie a leader of copoly or fluoro anywhere from 4-15 lbs. Generally I use 6-15 leaders, but will go to 4 for when I need a very light presentation. My .02.
  18. Keep on keepin' on! And welcome to the forums!
  19. Ooh, man. Not too hard for me. I'd look for a Chronarch 50e on eBay....

  22. I've been where you are, if you don't mind me saying... While I agree, GYCB worms, etc., are top of the food chain, others have done a great job of "catching up". Now I don't necessarily mean "same as a Yamamoto" but close enough and not as costly. For me, the Bass Pro Stick-O has become my main go-to worm. Others will hail YUM, etc. I say if the GYCB baits are working for you, then ROCK 'em! No reason to kill your catching if they're working for ya!
  23. Chunky hoss of a bass!
  24. I have two Boomerang snips, and some kids' Fiskars. Both cut braid well. The Boomerangs are out on the water with me. They're not 100% perfect, but darn good for the money.
