  1. This might help:
  2. I like a duo-lock type snap, be it from Bass Pro or other retailer. As well, and I'm not in the majority, I really really like Norman Speed Clips (smaller size, below). Have had great success with them over the years.
  3. Indeed! Down here we have two of the huge Walmarts within 3 miles of each other. Both are always busy, however, and I couldn't see either closed...
  4. Wow. No closings in VA at all!
  5. If I had catalogs from that far back, my wife would have a heart attack! LOL. Time to take some pix and show us what was offered back then!
  6. Down in Yorktown we got about 3" then sleet, then rain. Oddly, still have snow cover, despite all the heavy rains last night. Thought it would have been gone by the AM. Sleeting now, turning to snow any time. 1-3" more predicted.
  7. Welcome aboard!
  8. Welcome aboard, TJ!
  9. Rod length doesn't matter as far as my casting technique. I will use either one or two hands at any time. Guess I could say, long casts get two hands, closer casts, one. But not even that is "all the time". It all depends.
  10. Welcome aboard!
  11. For me, and this is ONLY my opinion based on my experience, the Albright and Uni-to-Uni for line to leader knots. The uni x2 is easy to tie on the water, and once learned, the Albright is, too, and is a slimmer knot to boot. Just my .02
  12. Welcome aboard, Chris!
  13. Welcome aboard!
  14. Welcome aboard, Steven! There's no right or wrong with leader length or size. Gary Yamamoto likes a long leader just like Shaw, but personally, I don't like long leaders. That's just my preference. I always use leaders on all my gear. They'll be anywhere from 4# - 15# depending on what, where, and when I'm fishing. Most common for me is 8#. Length? Depends. Most often I'll stretch my arms out two lengths while pulling a leader off the spool. Again, there's no right or wrong to your question, it's all personal preference based on experience, as you've read from Cap and A-Jay.
  15. Welcome aboard!
  16. Welcome aboard!
  17. Awesome catch! I venture anywhere from 5-7#
  18. 4" Bass Pro Stik-O
  19. Wow! Nice brownies. Wish I could fish for 'em down where I live. They don't swim our waters, sadly.
  20. Glenn Frey?
  21. Gorgeous hogs!!
  22. Welcome aboard, Sean!
