  1. Welcome aboard!
  2. Welcome aboard!
  3. My response to your immensely clean room is that from Jacques in Finding Nemo:
  4. I have enough trouble even getting on the water these days. Besides, I usually avoid tourneys just not my thing.
  5. Ditto on the healthy bass you caught! Nice job!
  6. Awesome fish. Beautiful coloration, too. I'm starting to get jealous of all y'all who are gettin' out. I just renewed my yearly boating permit (motorized kayak) at my fav. reservoir. Biting the bit to get out....
  7. Welcome aboard!
  8. Forgot to mention, since your up Richmond way, that you should be able to pick these up at Appomattox River Company there. The one in Hampton has/had them. Also, I saw some at BPS and DSG. Spot on. Fish first, get to know the yak, then drill your holes. You can patch the holes once you made one, but it'll still be there, and perhaps an eye sore.... Took me 2 to 3 years to really understand how I fish out of my yak. Even so, I always experiment with new ideas, and yes, I've got a couple holes I drilled I wish I didn't.
  9. Welcome aboard! If the rain has swollen the waters, I tend to move closer to the shoreline. A TX rig thrown up shallow and fished back nice and slow would be a good choice. Wacky rigs thrown by laydowns are always killer. I'll let others chime in who primarily fish hard lures, as I'm primarily a soft plastics guy.
  10. Nice! You can drag and drop attachments onto the bottom of the window you're typing in. You should see an image of a paperclip across from the box "Insert other media". Just make sure the size is under the max of 7.32MB
  11. Welcome aboard!
  12. Excellent catch! Nice PB. Always awesome. Here's to many more!
  13. We've had a rod (long pole) go for a long ride across a local pond after one of my boys wasn't paying attention. Got the rod back and a nice 2+ pound bass!! A story to tell your grandkids some day.
  14. Beautiful spot! It says "fish me, big fella"...
  15. Niiiiiiiiiice
  16. Hi Rick, welcome to the forums!
  17. Congrats on your first 2016 bass! I'm next, I hope!! Renewed my permit to fish on my favorite reservoir, just need to find the time to get out.... Alas....
  18. Well as they say, ya do what works for ya! Guys swear by bubblegum color where I fish. Never caught one on that color yet. I try, but it just doesn't work for me. I say slay 'em with the TX rig and enjoy life on the water!
  19. Hi Dave, welcome aboard!
  20. Very sad. Sorry to hear.
  21. Wacky is my absolute favorite rig! Nice whack'n 'em today! My wife, 4 sons and I walked the Civil War trails around Lee Hall Reservoir today. While it was fun, except for the complaining that I took the trail that was too long, it was awesome. The waters called to me. I woulda fished if I could have, and a wacky rig would be the first thing I'd have thrown!! Hard to say, Mike, since T-Rigging is a fairly slow retrieve, same with wacky. Or if you throw on a weighted wacky hook, you can move a tad faster. I always throw by laydowns, or tall grass and just let the bait fall. If you think you're slow enough, as they say, slow down some more. Maybe that's it? Or maybe they've seen enough of it in Jacksonville that they prefer the TX?
  22. Sweet hawg, Jeff!! And here I thought we'd get the GPS coordinates or something...
  23. CONGRATS!! I'll never know what it's like to have a baby girl as we have 4 boys...and I've been snipped, LOL. Perhaps I'll have granddaughters one day....
