You could call Tom's bait and tackle might be able to give you better temps for Lake Charlevoix (231) 536-3521 he is out of East Jordan.

Have been fishing south of Lake Charlevoix, on the chain of lakes and seeing temps in the mid to upper 50's, would assume they are pretty close up there right now.Hammered the smallies this past Saturday over 20 fish in about 5 hrs.Gotta love the catch and release early season, glad the DNRE finally allow us to target them out of season.They were taken in 7-9 FOW.My guess is the spawn will be over or on the tail end by the time you guys make it up, but you could also target Grand Traverse Bay that starts to heat up as soon as the inland lake die down for a few weeks.Heading back out with my son for the opener this weekend.Good luck if you make it out.

Found on a different site that a gentleman contacted Wright and McGill and he was told that the 8' flippin./pitchin stick weighed in at 6.56 oz. That's all I've seen as far as the weights of the rods.I would like to see them in person,but no one around has them.For the price point they fit into my budget.Have seen a few of the FLW College guys using them.

Want to stop by and say hi to you all.Have been on the site for a short while and have to say there is a wealth of info on here.I enjoy all types of fishing and really enjoy fishing the clear northern waters we have up here for giant smallmouths and walleyes.I enjoy the time on the water with my family (wife and 2 sons).I'm also looking forward this year to fishing in some local club tournaments with my oldest son as he lives and breaths fishing, at least I never have worry about what he's doing!Looking forward to getting to know you all and sharing info.Good luck and God bless.Bill
