  2. for the small time crank builder, devcon is hard to beat, towerhobbies.com carries all you need...
  3. experience and knowledge to get-r-done..... ability to teach others and love it.... and the common sense to know that all that counts in the end is the smiles.....
  4. Im not sure what your trying to acheev. I thought it had a rather wide wobble and like the first comment I think the lip angle may give you some trouble for a brush bait.......
  5. just finished this one up . it runs 10 to 12 easy and has that famous tight flatside wiggle. awt to be a good one.

  15. the clearcoat seems to be the strenght of the bait so I ask ,is it as strong as devcon? how is it holding up for ya..
  16. lure making is fun but it can be a pain. if its jigs its easy cause ya just heat ,dip in powder paint and let dry. still got to have pot and molds. if its cranks its tough if ya dont have the right tools. saws ,drill presses ,airbrush and compresser, ect, ect. as far as adding lips ,cut a straight slot and glue it in. good luck, take your time and have fun with it.
  17. hello. I build a few cranks from time to time. the problem is finding the devcon since wallworld quit carrying it. so I am looking for a hassle free clear coat that is going to hold up as well as the devcon. the price has doubled on the stuff and it is just cost effective to use it if I do find it. there must be something better out there. here is a pic of what I build. any ideas appreciated. thanks
  18. first of all, howdy.new here.that bait is right up my alley.bait looks good. I build cranks myself and was wondering what you are use'n for a clear coat....
