  2. I hate you. Caps don't have the defense to win the cup.
  3. Any hockey fans on here? Whats your team? Who do you believe will actually win the cup this year?(don't just say your team) I'm a die hard Flyers fan, and I think Philly can go all the way this year.
  4. What are the worst guide inserts you've ever experienced as far as grooves, chips, wear, ect?
  5. Are they common in Maryland?
  6. I would do really heavy (65 lb +) braid, or like 10 lb XL. Just what I would do, though.
  7. I got mine NIB on ebay for 150. You can always find them on ebay for 170.
  8. Well, my fishing excursion turned into fishing with my 8 year old cousin for sunnies and hunting for crayfish. Had fun anyway.
  9. Taking the XS out for its first fishing action today. Paired it with an 6'6" M XF All Star Platinum rod and 15 lb Sufix Seige. Will be throwing swim jigs and spinner baits (my new North Stars). I will be fishing a reservoir called Muddy Run in PA for both largemouth and smallmouth. I'll tell ya how it goes.

  16. Ha ha.. this is embarrasing. 2500 spinning reel, 7' MH rod, 10 lb line for small stuff. Baitcasting reel, 6'6" M X-Fast rod, 17 lb line for spinnerbaits, swimjigs (my favorite), heavy plastics, ect. Baitcasting reel, 6'9" XH X-Fast rod, 50 lb braid for flippin, frogs, buzzbaits, HEAVY t-rigs, carolina rigs. Thats my wimpy arsenal!
  17. My first impressions are that it is a precision, solidly made reel. Very smooth, and nice and light. The two things that stand out most are the extreme comfort when palmed and the use of precision metal throughout. Parts that are traditionally plastic have been replaced with metal. And not sloppy metal either, very precise, and seems to be quality, but only time will tell. And this reel blows away any other baitcaster I've ever held as far as comfort when palming it. I would say I have average sized hands, and l like to do 3 fingers in front of the trigger, and this reel feels like an extension of my hand. I will have more as I get this reel on the water. 8-)Spooled the reel up and decided to do some casting. Pretty breezy outside today. Didn't have to touch the controls and could unload the spool with relatively little effort. I have only owned two other low-profile baitcasters, so I'm not making any across the board claims, but this reel can CAST! Far superior to both my Daiwa Tierra and my Pflueger Templar. I can't imagine ever needing more casting ability from a reel distance wise, I don't know about light baits yet, but will find out. 8-)Took it our with only a 3/16 oz weight tied on. Can cast 25 - 30 yards in the wind. Seems pretty good to me. 8-) Casts small spinnerbait 25 yards in wind. Not sure on the size of the spinnerbait.
  18. After a few unsuccessful times, I spent the last two days wading a beautiful spring creek in PA catching Smallmouth, Rock, and Largemouth bass. Using an ultralight rod and both 1 1/2 inch YUM crawdads and 2 inch Power Grubs, I spent two afternoons wading this surreal creek with my best friend and catching monster green sunfish, big chubs, and my first smallmouth and first rock bass. Both days combined we probably caught a total of 16 bass, some very small. I caught the biggest smallmouth, at 12 1/2 inches, and the biggest rock bass at over 8 inches. Great fighters, awesome watching them pull in the crystal clear water. We spotted a two monster smallmouth, the bigger guessed at 15 inches, but didn't catch them. I wish I had pictures.
  19. I have a 3000, and it is a classy reel. As good as the Stradic.
