  1. I do not hold the line. My rods do not have a fore-grip and I can place a finger on the blank if I choose to. Tungsten and FC line, and quality blanks have made feeling what's goig on much easier than 30 plus years ago. My buddy has a good size boat and I have room to fish up front but prefer the back deck when we use his boat. My boat has ample room and if he wants up front he's welcome. Working tight quarters is about the only time we double up.
  2. Start with a credit union and get a low limit if you plan to have a card at all. That rewards crap does not pay off. Let me say it gain, a BP rewards card is not a way to save. It only endentures you to shop with them.
  3. Yamamoto Hula Grub on a football jig head. The color is no secret, #176. Right Glenn ?
  4. Never the conformist, a reservoir which is a river that was dammed and is now a lake. You get the diversity of current like a river and slow water like a lake. Realize the Columbia is a pretty big river. River fish or current related fish do seem to be great pullers.
  5. Don't worry be happy. I have two Champion 703's. Throw a wacky worm with that rod and you will be very very happy. Great buy.
  6. A jig with dredlocks. Perfect. I'll pass.
  7. Bingo. Lee Sisson baits. I have a couple. They are not that old. Fish those dudes.
  8. This is old stuff. I saw it on a sticker attached to the death star.
  9. The deep Little N has been my confidence bait for mid depth cranking for over 25 years. As soon as TW adds them I will pick up some. Anyone who overlooks Normans baits is really missing out.
  10. We had a chocolate Lab named Brie. We took her from the pound the day she was to be put down. She was sick, under nurished and just a mess. Our Vet questioned us even taking her but we nursed her back. I had her for over 11 years and she evenyually had liver cancer. I held her when she was put down. I cried for an hour. I haven't got another dog since. I don't have the heart to go through that again.
  11. Roboworm FX Sculpin or as mentioned, a reaper style bait. Poor Boy makes a pretty good one.
  12. The new Vertebra......should have plenty of back bone. The other is the Vericos...you can see the graphite running through the blank.
  13. Give it 90 days and get the Lucky Strike, Strike King or other knock off for $5.99.
  14. I predict it will go the way of the Diawa Viento twitch bar.
  15. "Good" and "attorney" should never be used in the same sentence.
  16. The bait monkey lives. I just picked up a Dobyns Champion 734C on a show special plus one day 10% discount for $156.00.
  17. BAM. No other publication comes close.
  18. That's where I'm posting from SAM ! I get computer time if I eat my jello. Here is a post script. I was talking to my mom who was born and raised in a little town called Oyen in Alberta. I was being all smart and funny about my comments on curling. I got an ear full. She was the captain of the girl's curling team at her school during WW II. Ouch !!
  19. I'll bet you miss smelt dipping.
  20. Does the bait monkey look anything like a sock monkey? I have stocked up with this years expected needs and spent about a hundred and fifty bucks. I have resolved to fish what I have and I have too much already. If they only made a patch.
  21. Here is the simple answer. Any time you move the lure with the rod and not the reel, a fast retrieve will benefit you.
  22. The last time DeAnn was in the boat with me, she picked up a rod and tossed a spinnerbait out ( casting reel ! Don't whine and say, " I just can't use a casting reel ") and caught " some weeds" which turned out to be a 4 plus largemouth. I was blanked. She's never been in the boat since. That was over 27 years ago. Me hold a grudge ? Not me....no way.
  23. You actually let your bride use your favorite pink rod !!!!! What a guy.
  24. I heard you talk to your fish, " face the camera...now turn to your left."
