  1. How do we get them excited about bucket fishing for asian carp? I'd kinda like to turn this negative into a positive...Keep all ya want boys!
  2. It would be fun to sit down and pick his brain for awhile. That newlywed pic makes me think that he's related to Tom Petty.... hmmmm.
  3. There is a very fine line between brave and stupid.
  4. You should try the zenith shaky head from siebert outdoors http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/index.php/zenith-shakey I really like how these make a floating worm stand up. Check it out. GMAN makes some pretty awesome stuff.
  5. Way too often. The 24/7/365 post pretty much says it all.
  6. You only need spell checker if you misspell words. Don't misspell .
  7. Man that's some temptation for a thread highjacking. I'll just keep it short and say, Great Post.
  8. K.I.S.S. Bass want the most meal for the least energy. Doesn't matter what it looks like as long as it wiggles like a meal. Ever seen a bass eat a goldfish?
  9. Although RW probably wouldn't consider himself on the level of the best bass fishermen in the world, he's a pretty darned accomplished fisherman in his own right. He's simply offering another perspective that has worked for him in the past. You can't go wrong paying attention to his advice.
  10. I'll repeat the fluke idea. I'd want to weight it properly though. You want it to fall at a slower rate like a stunned baitfish. Experiment with weights till you get a bite. I'd think a weight around 1/8 to 3/16 oz. would be just about right to start with. Twitch, twitch, then deadstick it. let it fall. fish it slow.
  11. Probably a plate from one of those cheap Stellas...
  12. Can't imagine how you could go wrong with that.
  13. I got a new rod and reel for the wife....best trade I ever made! Sorry, I couldn't pass it up.
  14. Looks like you want to know how to fish a part of Sebago Lake in Maine. If it were me, I'd get the waders and wade out on that sandbar and drag a jig across the point to the east (up is north in these pics). And then I'd walk out to the end of the sandbar and cast across the saddle to the northwest with a spinnerbait or a jig/craw. Another cast I'd try is to wade a little way out on the point that you already fished and cast along that dropoff carved by what appears to be a creek channel. You're trying to drag something along that sharp edge. I would also fish that old boat slip too. GOOD LUCK!
  15. Niiiice! I wish they had their Rage Tail stuff on clearance when I was there. I stole a Loomis rod from Dicks almost the same way. I never go into a Dicks now without asking if there's anything on clearance. Many times there are things on clearance that aren't marked yet. Good score!
  16. Robert have you checked out the Legend boats? I don't have any experience with them but what I've seen has been pretty good. CJ from this site has one that I got to look over at the last Roadtrip and I really liked what I saw. I know he was banging that boat at some high speeds through some three to four foot rollers on Kentucky Lake last year and lived to tell about it.
  17. I think Big O would have put him on the fish ...that were TWICE the size.
  18. Interesting how he left the tail connector on the bait for a bigger profile. Only at Falcon does the Rooster need a bigger profile!
  19. My mother went to high school with a guy named Peter Shorter. My dad works with the guy now. I think his parents hated him at birth. Also my wife's cousin is a school teacher who taught a little boy named JaMajesty.
  20. Pats are up 45-10 in the 4th quarter. Hunt those witches down! I'm going outside to get this torch lit right now!

    Wow

Every time I get thinking like that I remember the words of a pastor friend of mine. He said if we all had to bring our troubles into the town square and throw them in a big pile for all to see, we would quickly grab our own little contribution to the pile and run home.
  22. The best customer service Lowrance could give you would be to buy you a couple new Humminbirds!
