  2. She said to you before all that "It's YOUR money and I will spend it how I want!" You got yourself a keeper there!
  3. ^^^^^^^^THISSSS!!^^^^^^^^ We just got slammed with 10 inches of snow yesterday. BE GONE TERRIBLE SNOW!! Also looking forward to upgrading to an 1198 and 360 imaging! THE ROADTRIP!
  4. I've bought several rods second hand. If you do your research, you can tell what kind of guy you're dealing with. I'd go the used route. there is a small risk, but it's worth it in the savings you get. Just don't be afraid to walk away if something doesn't seem right. Also, follow through on what you say you are going to do. Be honest. You'll be fine.
  5. Don't just get them cleaned, let Mike supertune them too. It's well worth the few bucks. I've had several done by him and other reel guys. Nobody is better than Mike at DVT.
  6. I think he's on some weird drugs too... What a goof.
  7. White out conditions here right now. They're calling for 8-10 inches total from this storm. Man I hope I can make it!! C'MON SUMMER!!
  8. David Copperfield made me disappear on stage in Vegas. You should have seen the disappointment on my wife's face when I reappeared in the back of the auditorium. I used to work for Hoosier Racing Tire in the 90's and helped develop their Winston Cup radial tire for the infamous "tire wars". During that time I met pretty much all the race drivers including Dale Earnhardt and Ernie "Swervin" Irvan. I spent a lot of time with the few who were friendly to us and ran our tires like Geoff Bodine, Jeff and Ward Burton, Jeremy Mayfield, Joe Nemechek, Tony Stewart (was still cutting his teeth in the Busch series but was always around. He was a great friend of Bob Newton, owner of Hoosier), Neil Bonnett was around a lot too. He and Bob Newton were close buddies. It was pretty somber around Hoosier when Neil died at the 1994 Daytona 500. A few others, Boxer Larry Holmes, pro golfers Stweart Cink, Vijay Singh, Lee Trevino, Greg Norman, actors Sean Aston, Gary Sinise.
  9. The new status symbol SUV! Meh.
  10. If its true, he could always go sell cars!
  11. AWWWW. Tom was your wife looking over your shoulder when you wrote this?
  12. Pretty much this exactly. Plus BANANAS too!
  13. Keep watching Kalamazoo Craig's list!
  14. Looks like your lil 'ol 7 1/2 pounder at Guntersville won't be enough this year RW! Now where's that towel?! If I can't make it this year, I'm quitting my job and looking for lake property on Pickwick! My wife has always wanted to move south!
  15. I always have one rigged up on the deck of the boat. Usually with a Rage Tail Smokin Rooster on it. I feel a lot of the bottom with a lead weight. I can feel the difference between wood, big rock, small rock, sand, etc. if you use it enough, you'll be amazed what you can tell about the bottom. Glenn got me started on the Carolina keeper. I really like them. Only one knot to tie and it allows you to adjust the leader length.

  17. This is a Minn Kota 60 amp breaker. It is made for trolling motors. Follow your existing TM wires to look for something like this or a fuse panel or SOMETHING to interrupt the current flow if you have a problem. If you don't have one, get one. It is worth the trouble.
  18. I don't drink often, but when I do, I drink Blue Moon.
  19. Gina Carrano is awesome in every sense of the word.
  20. Ya got me.
  21. Read, read, read! Start here...>>>>> http://www.bassresource.com/how-to-fish/
  22. maclelland is on fire. He's already culled more than the top three have caught. He's fishing a secondary point close to deep water. Ike is a four pounder out of the lead. If he can cull one of his two pounders he'll be close to the lead.
  23. I've checked everything. Replaced the fuel lines from the tank to the boat. Looked at the tank from the access holes, no leaks that I can see. I have no fuel draining out into the bilge. But I have a strong gas smell in my port side rod locker. It has been there since I bought the boat three years ago. I recently heard a pro talking about Skeeter's aluminum gas tank that eliminated the gas smell you get from older plastic tanks. My boat is a 1999 Cobra. Some of you have fished in it. I hate the thought of replacing the tank because of all the ripping and tearing you have to do. Is this a common issue with this type of tank? Do I need to replace it? Is there a way to coat the inside of the tank to keep the gas from permeating the tank? Will it be fine the way it is?
  24. Leave the cull tags on the fish, throw them all in the DNR tanker trucks at the launch. Once everyone has loaded the fish, haul them to the arena, redistribute the fish and do the weigh-in. Or weigh the fish at the launch to eliminate confusion redistributing the fish at the arena. Then have a "show" weigh-in for the crowds.
  25. Pray. Volunteer at your favorite kids charity. It might take some time to let it come clear, but God will let you know where He wants you to go.
