I was looking on the Luhr Jensen Website and saw that it had been updated, looking at the pictures of the Speedtrap I think they have changed the bait. Has anyone gotten one of these baits. I may have to buy up some of the old style because that is my favorite crankbait.
Can't say enough about how well the spider slider heads come through cover. I use the 1/8 oz with the 4 inch charlie Brewer worms and some of my biggest fish have come on this combo. I have tried the Pro heads but loose a lot of fish because the hook is to thick to set with the lite line (6 or 8 pound test) that I use on my spinning rod. I have been using them for 20 years and on tough bite days this is my confidence bait. They are the best hooks for small worms that I have found. Charlie Brewer Sr past away in 2000. Good luck on the water guys.
I have had better luck with Cavitron buzz baits since they started using Gamakatsu hooks and I use a stinger hook (3/0 Gamakatsu) about 50% of the time. I let the mood of the bass guide me on that one. Been using Cavitron's for decades they have a great product.
Nice looking patterns Ben and Merry Christmas to you. Some of the best custom baits I've ever seen are posted on this site and I never get tired of looking at them or chunking them.
I am looking around at new aluminum bass boats and saw the VT17 rig from Crestliner, nice layout of the front deck. I have been looking for a boat with a layout that fits my style of fishing and this may be the one. Looking forward to seeing one up close.
They are ok hooks but I think the points dull and bend over when bumped against stuff. I use Mustad Nor tempered 95% of the time, from my experience they just stay sharper and are stronger. They are worth the extra money to me.
Marty, Rockfish Is Chesapeake Bay lingo for striped bass. I need to get another order in to you soon, then try to add to your big fish list (quite a list of pigs).
