I'd just like to say thanks to everyone on this entire site. I've fished my entire life, but it was always with live bait and a zebco. so when i started getting in to using lures and such i really didnt know what i was doing. but this website is simply amazing. anytime i post a question, multiple people respond. the many articles are great as well. but seriously, thanks to glenn and all others on this site. i truely appreciate everyones help. i feel like ive gained 20 years of knowledge in 2 years. there no way i would catch half the fish i do without this site. so as sincerely as i can say it, thank you.

if your only concern was just putting fishing in the boat, say around 12", what would your top 3 lures choices be? just for sake of the topic we will say water temperatures between 55-65 and offcolored but not muddy. here are mine: 1. 4" senko 2. fat albert grub 3. shakey head worm on a 1/8 oz head

im going to fish a lake this weekend with a population of 65% spots, 30% largemouth, and only 5% smallies. water temp is around 60 & slighty off colored/stained so with that being said, what do you guys think is the best way to catch as many fish as i can. I've had a rough year so far, so I just want numbers. not too worried about size. but do spots perfer different lures/presentations than largemouths? what have you guys had success with? thanks for the help!

alright, this lake has a large number of smallies. water is clear/slightly stained. water temps are between 55*-57*. I found a bunch of points and flats that had some fish on them. I have some grubs, mepps spinners, spider jigs, tubes, cranks, lipless cranks, all my drop shooting stuff, carolina rig stuff, jerkbaits, etc.... what would you guys try given the conditions???? any other lures i need to make sure are in my boat??? thanks!!!!

im fishing this weekend on a lake with a good number or smallies. i've never really fished for smallies in a lake. but the water is slightly stained and water temps are between 55*-58*. I found some flats and points but im really not sure what to try. any ideas????? thanks guys!

there a lake in west virginia. clear water. very deep. lots of huge rocks & ledges. really nice smallie population. any ideas on what to throw at them???

two scenarios: (#1) water temp is around 56-57. Its pretty clear/green tent. a few bluffs, some rip rap sections, much shallower than scenario (#2) (#2) water temp is around 60-61. and muddy. There is timber, points, laydowns, some rip rap sections, and a couple old road beds. which place would you try first and what would you try? tomorrow is going to be beautiful. sunny/cloudy and 75-80.

My link my brother leaves for deployment in a few weeks, so we are takin this weekend to go to this lake. the water temps will be right around 50. water will be stained/muddy im guessing. this week will be 10-15 degrees warmer than the past few, but its expected to rain a good bit throughout the week. any ideas on where to go????

i bought some lake fork plastic ring frys today and my god do they stink lol..... do you guys really do well with this scent???? im afraid to even put em in the same box as my other plastics... ???

hey guys, i know that jerkbaits are awesome prespawn lures, but im not really sure what kinds to use? suspending, floating, etc.... i really cant afford to pay 15 bucks a piece for LC's. so what other brands work well and what baits specifically? thanks!!!

so the family is wanting to go to pigeon forge this summer. Its me, the wife, the son, and the daughter. We will take a week off to go down. The boy and i are wanting to spend a couple days fishing so I looked on the map and saw this lake near by. how is it? is it worth the trip? thanks guys!
