  1. hey guys. i saw a video on youtube where they were showing a 4 inch roboworm ST in a tank, They had it rigged with the flat side as the top. I always assumed the flat side was the bottom. How do you guys do it? im sure both ways would rpoduce, but just curious what is standard

  3. im interested in trying the biffle bugs with the biffle heads. the lake i usually fish is mainly smallmouth. it is deepand clear. fish tend to hand out somewhere between 15 and 40 feet. my question is, what weight would you try for these depths? also, are these any good at night?
  4. im fishing a deep/clear lake loaded with smallmouth. most are 12-14 inch. but there are some that go 3-4 pounds. im going to be night fishing. any ideas? thought about tubes, carolina rigs, topwater..... you guys hve anything in mind?

  6. i was there last week for 5 days. didnt hire a guide and had never been there before. you literally cant mess up haha. i had a blast. caught my personal best which was 8lb 9oz and a handful of 5 pounders. there are so many 3-4 poun fish in that lake it isnt funny. we fished different creeks everyday. we would just start at the mouth and stop at places that looked good. caught a lot on missle baits d-bombs. also did good on buzzbaits in the morning and evening. with that said, i like honeycomb creek and siebold area. but like i said, you cant mess up down there right now. if you start fishing a creek at the mouth and work towards the back you will find fish somewhere. also try c-rig lizards. green pumpkin with the tail dipped in chart

  11. im probably over complicating it. but i get confused with the different weights, coloros, blade style, etc on when to use them Specifically on my home late for example - water is in the upper 50's and muddy. a few days ago i tied a single colorado blade. 1/2 oz. chart/white spinner. caught 1 fish. what would you guys try? most fish seemsed to be in less that 5ft of water after talking to some friend who caught a few
  12. my local lake is fairly small - about 1000 acres. It is a lowland reservior. It has lots of standing timber in a few of the creek arms. water temp is in the mid to upper 50's and is muddy. I've been our twice and I have only caught 1 fish. it was shallow on a spinnerbait. Do you guys have any tips or suggestions? the lake does not have grass. mustly just standing timber, laydowns, rocks, stumps, and a little rip rap. thanks guys
  13. im heading down this weekend to visit my uncle and do some fishing on Cherokee. Ive never fished there this time of year. do you guys have any tips on what lures, locations to try?
  14. my first couple years of tournament fishing i always went for the "get 5 then upgrade approach" the last 2 years I started devoting the first 3 hours of every tournament to getting a kicker. Then spending the rest of the day filling up the livewell. I have had a lot more success going big early. if you dont have a limit by around 1 then its time to get out the shakey heads, senkos, and drop shot haha. but i would say go BIG. i mean it is a team event. you both only have to catch 5 fish all day. should be hard to get a limit. size will be the ticket
  15. any one use them? ive never tried them. do they have a more subtle action like a rogue for more eratic like an x-rap?
