  14. Hey guys, since i just started bass fishing a couple years ago and im young and poor lol, i dont exactly have a wide variety of rods & reels. But I was wondering if you guys could tell me what types of lures work well with which rod and reel combos. Combo #1 - Abu Garcia Silver Max Baitcaster on an Abu Garcia medium-heavy rod (6 foot 6 inches). Combo #2 - Quantum Tenacity AP Baitcaster on Quantum Tenacity medium rod (6 foot 6 inches) Combo #3 - Quantum Tenacity AP Spinning Reel on Quantum Tenacity medium action rod (6 foot) Combo #4 - Shamano R2000 spinning reel on Berkley lightning rod, medium heavy (6 foot) Combo #5 - Abu Garcia Cardinal 102 Reel on an Abu Garcia Cardinal 100 Rod, medium action (6 foot 6 inches) Also, Id like to have one combo for shaky head fishing and one for flipping in heavy cover and docks. sorry if its a dumb question, i just want to maximize what i hate. thanks guys!
  15. I fished it 4 times last year, catching 4-8 fish each outing. The largest fish was around 4.5 lbs and the smallest was around a pound. Water is usually VERY clear, so that makes it a little harder. I had success with a super spook jr in the mornings and a shakey head or jig-n-pig after that. I just trolled the banks, fishing downed trees, weeds, and some riprap near where you put your boat in. Its a decent little lake. 10 or 15 hp motor restriction, i cant recall. The only draw back is that you have to take a rinky dink road for about a half hour to get there from the corridor. Its kind of hard when pulling a boat. My personal opinion is that if you are near the area, give it a shot, but if your driving a few hours to get there, then you could probably find a better lake. If your interested in going this year, shoot me a pm, i live about 45 minutes away and id be glad to share what very little knowledge i have haha
  16. black/blue jig fished VERY slowly. personally, i think youd be better off sharpening your hooks and practicing flippin in your yard lol
