hey guys... i dont paint my own baits or anything so this may be a REALLY dumb question. but could use use a sharpie to add some lines or dots to your cranks? or would it just come off in the water? thanks
ok, my fishing boat is a small johnboat and i have no electronics at all.... just an old trollling motor to move my butt around haha. but i was wondering when it gets hot and the fish are deep, how would you go about fishing deep with no electronics? It seems like im just blindly throwing out into the deep. any tips or advice? what lures to use? thanks guys!
what are some tactics you guys have luck with after around 11:00 am when it starts to heat up and the bite slows down? fish deep? fish shade? slow down your presentation? i was having a great day until the sun got high and hot and then it went to crap haha....
im taking some friends fishing while they are in town. what lures would you guys suggest to just catch a lot of bass? we will probably be mostly fishing weeds and maybe some timber. water is pretty clear. thanks guys
umm, im not really up on my weed identification lol... but its just little strips/patches of weeds that grow right next to the bank and go out in the water 4-5 feet. they arent extremely thick.
what are some good lures/tactics to try around weeds that grow near the bank. say anywhere from 1-6 feet of water. water is fairly clear, maybe a little off color. i caught 5 last time on the fat ikas. any other ideas ???
yes, they're smallmouth. the pond is right next to a river so my theory is they got in whenever the river flooded.... it use to be a pond for a towns water supply, but it was shut down several years ago.... i could tell they were small mouth and i also saw bluegill swimming around.
ok guys, i found this place about a mile from my house. it is a VERY small pond, water is murky and has tons of logs and stuff in it. I saw several very nice small mouth swimming around (3-4 lbs). But I cant get them to hit anything at all. any suggestions? this place see a lot of pressure i believe if that helps any
since its flooded, im guessing the water is muddy. id try throwing a large profile jig and dragging it over the shelves. stick with dark colors like black and blue. you may also want to consider bouncing some cranks off the checkout counters to get some reactions bites....
well, i just started fishing last summer, so im kinda more concerned with numbers than size.... so is the jig still the best option?
and if so, would you want something with a large profile or something small? thanks!
last week i was at a lake and i caught 3 good sized largemouth tossing a fat ika (watermelon) around stumps and logs. are there an other lures or techniques that you guys would recommend? most bites came around 4-8 feet. also caught one on a senko. thanks for the help guys!
i have been to cheat lake twice and caught 3 one time and 5 the next time. i had luck flippin jig-n-pigs around cover in about 6-10 ft. also caught a few with crankbaits around the riprap
im taking someone out to the lake tomarrow who has basically zero experience. I went out today to find some bites because i really, really want him to enjoy his first time. i only caught 2 because the conditions arent great. water temp is right around 50 and the water is murky. i caught both fish on a black/blue jig&pig. but my question was what is a lure that would be easy of him to use in these conditions that may get him a fish or 2.
Thanks guys!
