there is a small bait store in hinton, near the dam. you cross the bridge and turn like you are going up the greenbrier river, its on the right, cant miss it. prices are reasonable. but you can pick them up at most dicks/gander mountains/ and even some walmarts...
i like the green pumpkin & watermelon
also, 4 inch senkos, wacky rigged works well too. same colors
if there is i dont know about it.... i do the same thing this guy does. but trust me, you wont regret it. it is well worth it. you can also count on seeing some deer, turkey, and other wildlife. its a small river, but its loaded.
so your topwater fishing and one blows up and misses your lure. what do you guys do? throw the same thing back at it? throw something different at it? if you throw something else what lures do you like?
im planning on going night fishing on my boat and it will be my first time out night fishing ever..... im pretty clueless as to where to fish and what to use. i was thinking of using topwater, colorado blade spinner, and big worms....... probably in black/blue colors..... any other advice?
ok, im getting strikes like crazy on this but im only landing around 10-15%..... i make sure to wait a few seconds and make sure i feel the weight before i set the hook, but they still keep comin off..... its like the stay on until they get about half way to the boat and then they come off..... any tips or modifications to the lure? thanks guys
ok.... i know how to fish poppers, walk-the-dog lures, buzzbiats, frogs, and stuff.... but how do you decide which one to use? do certain style baits work better on calm water, choppy water, morning, evening, rain, you get the drift.... thanks guys!
