thanks guys. i just graduated college about a year ago and this is my first "big purchase" so im a little nervous i guess you could say. but listening to this eases my mind a little haha
when the water is still pretty chilly, instead of pitchin a jig all day, has anyone tried a senko fished VERY slowly.... its kind of a lazy bait anyway... seems like it may work to me???
just graduated college, so dont have a ton of money to spend on equiptment. so i was wondering what rods would be good to use with what techniques:
-6'6" medium (flimsy towards the tip) with spinning reel
-6'6" medium with spinning reel
-7'0" medium heavy with spinning reel
-6'6" medium with baitcaster
-6'6" medium heavy with baitcaster
also, i already have a nice flip&pitch combo, so dont worry about that.
thanks guys. i really appreciate the help
get some light weights and work them out. i started doing this a few years ago and it really helps my stamina. also remember to stretch before and after fishing. i know it sounds stupid, but it als helps.... and like it was mentioned, use ice. also, use a baseball to rub out the soreness by rolling it over your buscles
i think its dumb that this isnt allowed. why cant you discuss fishing on a certain body of water.... any good fisherman know that conditions constantly change. what works one day wont work the next.... i dont know... i just think its stupid you cant talk about fishin.
went out today and struggled.... the water was very clear. im talking 15 ft viz. what do you guys do in conditions like this? The lake has a ton of grass in it also and a lot of flodded timber
i had the best luck in 6-8 ft, with flowing water,,, not rapids, just s teady flow. also, smallies will gather at the tails of large holes, right before the rapids begin... this is a great place to target
all summer i have been killing great sized bass up around shallow weedlines. the past 3 times ive went i havent done well at all. Do you think the fished arent there anymore or maybe just a string of a few bad days??? the lake i fish is only about 400 acres. water is clear.
at my lake, the is a grassy flat the runs out from the bank about 30 yards and is about 70 yards long. i see small minnows being clased here in the mornings and evening but i cant seem to catch many fish here. at the bank its less than a foot and it goes out to about 6 feet before it drops off down to around 15ft. water is stained. ive had some luch with senkos, x-raps, flukes, and spinners. any other tactics or ideas? thanks guys!!!
kanawha is so-so. its alright to kill an evening. but better options exist imo. obrien, mud river, and woodrum lake a little outside of charleston are good.
