  1. not change it, but add more.
  2. I just put the skirt in the rubber collar. Then put the skirt on the punch hub with the rubber collar. Move the rubber collar out of the way and wire tie and then remove the rubber collar. Its actually really easy. If you want to thread tie, i dont know the best way for that. But i suggest using wire, that way you can hold the hub and tighten the wire with the other hand and then pliers.
  3. I love mine. My only negative is I got a medium action and it feels like an UL. I wish id of went with the MH, but thats my own fault. I still throw 4 inch paddle tail swimbaits with it no problem and have swung 4 lbers into the boat and it hasnt failed.
  4. See if you can find a Gen 2 Revo Premier. I got mine for $180 on sale. If you cant find a Gen 2 premier, get a Gen 3 Revo SX. They lightened it up a lot from the gen 2 and it looks much better and is only $159. You should be fine, just as long as you DO NOT get a Shimano. lol. All kidding aside, all the reels mentioned above are great reels in your price range.
  5. When i change my hydraulic fluid for my power steering, do i just take off the cap at the helm behind the steering wheel and fill it up? Or is there more to the process? Also, what hydraulic oil do you guys prefer?
  6. black/blue, craw color (brown, orange, green pumpkin etc.) Sieberts Sweet craw comes to mind. Thats all i need.
  7. bluegill colored swim jig with a green pumpkin rage tail menace. Cant fish it wrong. 4 inch strike king shadalicious in blue shad color. Cast it out, let it sink to desired depth and a slow steady retrieve. A Sammy, this thing casts like a rocket and will let you cover a lot of water, just walk the dog.
  8. get yourself a 3WT fly rod, some foam spiders and cast it around the bank or vegetation. It gets bit on almost every cast and its a blast. I was doing this one afternoona nd a 4lb largemouth decided it wanted to eat my spider. That was one of my most memorable bass.
  9. i know one that, if id of seen that gator, i would have been running as fast as i could in the opposite direction
  10. I have a bunch of lures that dont catch fish, but that is because i rarely fish them. There are 2 baits that i try often and never get bit. One is a good old 10 inch powerbait worm, or any worm for that matter. I could very well be the worst worm fisherman. If i had to choose 50 baits to choose for the rest of my life, a plastic worm wouldnt even be considered. The other bait is the Rage Hog. I catch fish on zoom hogs, but can never get bit on the Rage one. Hard baits id have to go with all prop baits, especially the Devil Horse.
  11. jig
  12. smallie
  13. I love my Veritas, i hate my Mojo.
  14. i think the skirt just adds a bigger profile and more action. For instance, if a jig with a rubber skirt is sitting still on the bottom with the trailer in the defensive craw position and the rubber is flared out. That craw looks bigger. I dont know the exact answer, only bass do. I think you could also make an argument that when your throwing a jig to mimic a craw. That skirt makes your craw imitation look different than a normal live craw. I dont throw the A Rig, but guys say that if you have 4 baits of the same color and 1 a different color, they more often than not hit the 1 color thats different from the rest.
  15. The strike king shadalicious in 4 inch size and blue shad color is a great fish catcher. Its a numbers bait, if you want size youll have to throw the bigger baits.
  16. All my reels are Abu Garcia. My rods consist of 4 skeet rods, 2 Abu Veritas, 2 Abu Vendettas, 1 St croix Rage, 1 St croix mojo bass, 1 bps Pro Lite finesse,1 Cabelas 3 piece travel rod for when i surf fish on vacation. I dont really care what they look like, but the new Gen 3 Revo S looks amazing on the Veritas, and my Revo SX looks amazing on the Vendetta rod.
  17. The rooster would be my second favorite. Its my favorite to fish, but i use the rage craw more. I LOVE to swim the rooster around scattered vegetation on a 5/0 EWG hook with a pegged 1/8oz weight. Its so versatile when fished like this. I dont use it as a flipping/pitching bait that much. I just love to slow roll it above deep grass or shallow weed flats. My PB came on a rooster. I was slow rolling it along a spawning flat, i stopped it and let it sink by a bed and she nailed it.
  18. beautiful fish. I wish i had a stream near me with trout in it.
  19. I was looking at rods today to put my Revo SX on. I always bring my reel with me to put on the rod to test the feel befpre i purchase. I was loving the way the Crucial felt, but I could not get the reel to sit in the seat. I saw that it wasnt threaded, and i tried to squeeze the reel in with no success. I have it narrowed down between the Crucial, Carrot stix Wild, and Duckett. So my question is, how in the heck do you get the reel in the reel seat of the Crucial?
  20. Looks good, i suggest using a green pumpkin rage tail menace with that and you have yourself a fish catcher.
  21. that is a really tough question. Most of them have a place in my arsenal. If i was stuck on an island in the middle of a lake and needed to catch bass to eat, id HAVE to take a Rage Craw. Green pumpkin first, but ill take a Falcon Craw without arguing. Texas rig it on a weight of your choice with a hook of your choice and you cant go wrong. Unless you rig ir backwards, i dont think you can fish it wrong.
  22. I have a 12 year old motor guide and the steering cable has showed no signs of failure. I would contact Motor Guide and see what they can do for you.
  23. I clean all my reel bearings before i ever use the real for the first time. So im sure i quieted it down, but i never heard it pre lube flush and reel oil. I actually like the sound of it on a deep cast. Sounds like it should. You dont ever hear real quiet race cars do ya? lol
  24. if you dont mind me asking, whats the color name for that lighter yellowish green color on the sweet craw? Thats the exact color im looking for but am having trouble finding it.
  25. if your in pike and musky waters, id definately use a leader. I fish wisconsin once a year and this year i killed them on a rainbow trout colored Castaic swimbait. My fishing buddy kept saying "theres no trout in these waters." I looked at him and said "there definately isnt any chartreuse spinnerbait fish in the water but your using it."
