  1. my buddy throws one a lot, I don't have much confidence in them. I have had my good days on them though, I just more confidence in a rage craw. If I had to pick 1, itd be a missile baits D Bomb
  2. Koppers Live Target mouse is really the only hollow body bait ill throw, if I do pick up a frog, its either a Spro or Koppers.
  3. I am also a tackle junkie. 2 compartments in my Ranger are stuffed, I have stuff taking up a corner of my garage. The best things is, some days I don't even retie any of my setups. Just narrow down what works. For instance, if your main body of water is weed choked and not much open water, focus on frogs, T Rigged baits and other weedless baits. I could get by with a couple pack of shadalicious swimbaits, a couple white swim jigs with some trailers, a frog or 2, Koppers Mouse, some finesse worms, and some football heads.
  4. I recently purchased a JM Carbonlight 7'6" heavy rod to throw my Hudd 68's, mattlures gill and my bigger California swim jigs with big swimbait trailers. I was dead set on the tatula, but have also been eyeing up the CI4. I know for a fact that both perform well, but I need some input from you swimbait guys. What reel would be better for what im using it for. I don't want the reel too feel too small for the baits ill throw. I would go round reel, but I feel this rod and whatever reel I match with it, will be a multi purpose setup. Maybe even pitching and flipping.
  5. I hear you, ill be talking to them at the ramp and they'll say something like "had a decent day, brought a few up but never hooked any." I have no response for them.
  6. mattlures makes a catfish swimbait. Get yourself a weedless Huddleston 68 special for sure. If you don't want to spend the $ on those $20 range baits. You can get a pack of the big Strike King shadalicious hollow bodies and throw them around. A Lunker Punker and MS Slammer would also do you well. That's a good start. The big time swimbait guys will chime in im sure. Im just a novice.
  7. Maki Plastics Maki Plastics Maki Plastics Ice Hut Maki Plastics Maki Plastics Auger Maki Plastics Maki Plastics warm clothes and boots Mr Buddy Heater and propane tanks and more Maki Plastics
  8. my dad refusing to lean all the way over of my Ranger to spit his tobacco. He just sits back and aims for the water. Then I get little chew dribbles on my back deck. I have to clean it regularly. But, its my pops, one day I will miss that chew spit on my Ranger.
  9. heres my 5.5. it would eat his "11"
  10. lake fork tackle and Strike King Sexy Spoons are my go to spoons. The finish on the Lake Forks seem to be subpar, but the fish don't care. Having said all that, the best day iv ever had with a spoon was on a BPS Nitro spoon in bluegill color. I just wrecked em.
  11. Ranger. But id take a Basscat, Legend, and Pheonix in a heartbeat.
  12. Hudd 68 special
  13. may or june? you shut your mouth lol
  14. I throw a 5.5 inch shadalicious in blue gizzard shad with a Trokar hook. I throw it on several different rods and reels and line. I also use the smallest version and the mid size version with success. There hasn't been a single time in 2 years that a shadalicious is not tied on one of my setups while fishing. The smallest version, I use as a search bait. I used to use a redeye or spinnerbait. I would even go as so far as too say it is up there with a swim jig as far as my confidence baits.
  15. iv used beavers, lizards, bugs, rage craws and smoking roosters
  16. Problem solved, might be a tad loud and cause major damage though
  17. I love my Save Phace, I cant believe I went a year without it. I hit a seagull this past year at 62 MPH. It hit my front hummingbird, then my windshield, then my face. Not saying the the mask saved my life, but I don't think I would of wanted to hit that seagull with my bare face. Not to mention, it pooped all over my windshield and it sprayed onto my mask. So best case scenario, I would have had seagull poop all over my face and most likely in my mouth.
  18. nice rig, I have also told you this already. Make sure you post your top speed when you get to that point. I have a feeling that things going to scoot along at a pretty good clip.
  19. I currently run 4 Diehards. I haven't had any issue with them whatsoever.

This picture also has significance, right after I released this bass I went to pull up the TM to go back on the point, my "unbreakable" G Force cable broke at the washer. I had to pull up the TM and make a run all the way back to the ramp to get some tools out of my truck to fix it.
  21. Yes, I never caught a fish from a kayak in my life, and I had to start with a big one. It was quite the adventure. Trying to keep my rods from breaking and it ran me into the overhanging trees. I had to look like an idiot. I told the wife I had it under control the whole time, I was lying.
  22. Looks like a storms a brewing
  23. It seems a few guys have not been very happy with the quality of Skeeters lately. I own a Ranger, but I am not biased. I would take a Cat over a Skeeter.
