I like the keitechs an shadalicious for soft baits. Don't hesitate to try glide baits. River2Sea S waver and the Savage Shine Glide get have shined for me
I grabbed some Clone Frys from the TW sale, I have never used them before. Just looking for some feedback from guys who use them. I was thinking it'd be awesome on a Owner JigRig. Any feedback would be appreciated
I received some in a MTB box once. I tried them several times without success. Then one day the bite was dead, I rigged it on a 1/4 jig head and started smashing them. Haven't done any good on them since.
I saw a Verado 300 on a new ranger this past summer at a tourney, it was extremely quiet. Even quieter than the SHO. I'm sure it had to do with driver and hull design, but he was getting passed by 250s and even a phoenix with a 225. Looked bad ass though
River2sea S waver 168s in rainbow trout is my best producer. Although I got it late in the season, the Savage Shiner glide 3d caught good fish good fish in minimal use.
I'm in the same boat as the OP. I have never caught a fish on it. It got to the point where I gave them all away or sold them. I bought a mold set this past year that had a pit boss mold. I made myself a bunch in certain colors that always crush them on a private pond. These fish rarely see baits. I used it for 2 hours without a bite, 2nd cast with a 702 craw, fish. I actually just put the mold on ebay last night. No idea why I couldn't catch fish on it.
For bass, i use 50 lb braid, except my punching rod has 65 lb braid. I can't imagine 50 wouldn't be good enough. I have landed some good size teethy critters in the past few years, and several came on 10 lb mono. So I can't imagine 50 lb braid wouldn't do the trick
