  1. The smallest Koppers frog is a terrible frog. Noone in their right mind would expect to catch fish on it. Please, send them to me and I wI'll dispose of them properly. The hooks can't handle big ones in thick stuff
  2. Good price for a Ranger I'd say, the one problem is that boat is way underpowered. Too compare, I paid $10,000 for a 2000 with a 175 Mercury and it wasn't in as good as shape as that boat. And I sold it to a guy who then sold it for $13,000. Rangers hold there value.
  3. I follow MikeyBallz. He's in florida, his videos of Florida giants got me through winter, and my punch fishing has improved tremendously.
  4. I was a strike king or bps brand guy. Then I started using Reins. I sold all my SK an bps an invested in all Reins. I have yet to find anything better.
  5. I throw white, black/blue, and a green pumpking/bluegill color. If I could only choose one, I'm taking white
  6. The best bait is the one you have confidence in. I fish in a club in illinois, and some of our best anglers flip tubes a lot. I try tube and always struggle. I stick to my confidence baits.
  7. I have had some success punching with it and as a jig trailer. I just never use it enough to make it a consistent bait in my arsenal. It seems the menace kind of does every the shell cracker does with a sleeker profile.
  8. I have had good luck with it on a Carolina rig and a light split shot rig.
  9. I only have 2 regrets in purchasing my new boat. 1 is that I traded in a paid off boat, and 2 is when I scratch a brand new boat, it hurts a little more.
  10. I have one on my glass boat and while I'd rather have 2, 1 does me just fine. I have fished out of a buddies 17 foot tin with 1 talon and it does just fine.
  11. Put a pearl rage tail menace verticle on that bad boy and hold on
  12. Bobby lane won the MLF cup throwing a frog. So it's just not a small bait dink frst.
  13. I like to do it with brush hogs when they're in thicker wood, I have tried heavy jigs as well. They get in fine, but tend to snag up on the exit. If I'm flipping wood, I'll have several setups on deck. Texas rigs with a 1/4 ounce weight all the way up to 3/4 Oz weight. I let the fish tell me what they want that day. Also depth plays a huge role in the as well.
  14. Lucky craft sammy
  15. Booyah finesse jig with twin tail trailer. I prefer a zoom salty crawler.
  16. They are in my arsenal and I use them often. I have no negatives other than not wire tied. But the first thing I do after opening them from the package is trim the skirt an wire tie them.
  17. Gambler big ez, little ez, ez swimmer. Strike king swimming caffeine shad Keitech
  18. That little gambler cricket is my go to punching bait. Noone believes me that I punch with it. Most of the guys around here punch d bombs with punch skirts and other bigger profiles. More often than not they want the little cricket.
  19. I like the s waver 168S And a Huddleston 68 special
  20. I have never had a problem with room to snell a knot with a trokar flipping hook
  21. I have put the bps stick o against the gycb on several occasions and it has out fished it every single time. Not saying it's better, but just from my trials. It always out fished it.
  22. As said above, go with the lightest weight possible. I usually start with 1 Oz and then go from there. As far as baits go. My favorite is a gambler BB Cricket, I can get that through easier than other baits an it flat out catches them. Other baits I usually add a punch skirt include a D Bomb, Gambler Why Not, rage menace, and rage structure bug, sweet beaver and SK rodent. I usually always start with a punch skirt on one setup with one of those baits, and another setup with just a gambler BB cricket. Then I let the fish tell me what they prefer.
  23. My only problem with throwing big swim baits up north is possibly losing it to musky or pike. I have thrown hudds an the bigger strike king shadalicious and have caught bass, but have caught more pike than anything. I have found if I want to target bigger fish up north, I'll throw a big jig. It tends to catch me bigger northern bass and minimizes the toothy critters.
  24. T rig an jig trailer for me
  25. Trim the skirt and fan out the weed guard just a bit, not much
