  1. Fluke, crank, spinnerbait, soft swimbait... All of these still work. Try and see what shade the shad are (if you can) and throw something close. Dead sticking a fluke or swimbait usually works well.
  2. Steve, is it ever possible for you to catch a dink? All of your fish aren't even CLOSE to my PB (and by that I mean they are bigger HA). Great story, great baits, great fish.... You just rule all the way around
  3. Dave Mercer.... If the fishing sucked, at least he would be entertaining I wouldn't want to fish with KVD because he would take you some place you couldn't catch fish and he'd find some and catch 'em all. (KVD should just change his name to Pokemon...)
  4. Oh god camera porn, keep it clean guys Speed that's a great photo. I have a hard time taking macro's like that because I'm always shaking (too much coffee HA). What kind of camera do you use?
  5. I hope that water temp starts dropping and those muskie's start to stir up! We should be seeing some Striper action soon! As soon as that happens the fishing will be the best all the way around. Those stripers move the baitfish around and the large and small mouths will follow.
  6. That's sad but at least he didn't hurt or kill anyone else in the accident. Nothing makes me more mad than seeing someone talking or messing with their phone while they drive. I have about been smashed into multiple times by people behind me who weren't paying attention.
  7. Haven't had insurance for almost 4 years now because of the outrageous costs. My work offers insurance, but it's one of those pay so much a month then your liable for the first $2k. I don't get a discount on any office visits or anything like that. The only time something like that would be helpful is if I need more than $2k worth of medical work done... I think I'll take my chances! I'm moving to Canada!
  8. Nice site! They aren't listed but if anyone gets in the Central Pa area all of the Snedeker gas stations (some of them are Velaro's now) are all ethanol free also.
  9. I'd eat it...
  10. There's a guy that is always fishing on the river here and he uses gummy worms all the time for Walleye. I never tried it but I think I'm going to this year! I'd get one of those little hand brooms, snap the handle off and make a little 'walk the dog' style bait (like a spook).
  11. +10000000000000000000000000000000 Nothing beats a nice big old Chicago Deep Dish! And I'm not talking about that fake crap the major chains make either! Oh and New York pizza sucks! It's like a piece of paper with cheese on it... If you're making me pick a major chain, I'm goin Papa Johns, but ours closed
  12. He should leave the real fishing to Jeremy Wade... I saw the Nile Perch on River Monster's awhile ago and did think they kind of looked more like a LMB than a perch. Like Bassclary said though, they are from the same family so they will have some resemblance.
  13. LOL every time I think of large sums of money or bank vaults I think of Duck Tales... Then I realize I'll never have that amount of money!
  14. Ah, I knew the middle one was (holding it up to the camera) but I couldn't tell on that one thrashing around... They are both mean and will snap at you any chance they get
  15. J that has to be the funniest picture I have seen in awhile. That muskie was out for blood!
  16. +2 on the suspending jerkbaits. Get one down to their level and just let it sit. Give it some jerks on slack line and turn it around and they will smash it!
  17. I'll agree with the colors that have been said previous, but I also like to use laminates. Black/blue and black/red T-Rigged ribbon tail worms have been the best producers for me when the bite is tough. I fish a dirty old canal with a huge carp population and a very small largemouth population. The largemouth in there only seem to eat two things, tubes and these laminate worms
  18. Have a look at where this guy has his hand. That's about where you want to slip your hand in. There's a sharp piece of bone along the gill, I think Walleye and Pike have this bone also, but that is what can cut you. Nice musky! I'm still working on mine!
  19. Is this going to be an on going thing? I just love random photos!
  20. No, I use Strike King's sexy shad's colors though. I like the series 6 and 4. I'm sure that one works just as good though. That is a dynamite color scheme. Another good one to try if Bomber makes a similar color is the Chartreuse Sexy Shad.
  21. No idea where the guy got it nor if I will ever see this stand again, but a guy selling cheesesteaks at a fair this year had that creme soda in his machine! Pretty good stuff, I was confused as to why it was blue but who cares - it was tasty EDIT: Nevermind, it was probably Moxie. I didn't know they made a blue creme soda too...
  22. Central Pa Already said but I fish faster and target the shallow weedlines vs. being IN the weeds in the summer. I can't wait until the end of fall when I can really start using suspending jerkbaits on the cold waters! Most people hate using jerkbaits slower than they do tubes, but I love it!
  23. Thanks! Can't find them on listen, but I'll see if I can find their rss feed and manually add them.
  24. Anyone have any good fishing podcasts or the like? I need a reason to use google listen haha. I could only find one that Orvis does. Its pretty good but I want something a little more bass related...
  25. I can't bring myself to pay that much for a crank, but they are built pretty well. I think anything red is going to increase your chances of a strike though, laser or not. Just paint your bills red
