  1. Trying to expand my tackle for Northern Pike fishing and I wanted to see what you all recommended on purchasing. I just bought some spoons (Little Cleo's in 2/3 oz), both are green and silver (one's hammered and the other is smooth). Are there any other colors I should absolutely get in spoons? I have some Five of Diamonds in red and yellow (one has red diamonds and a yellow body, the other is opposite) but they are small (only 1.5 inches). I also have some 1 oz spinnerbaits, 6 inch jerkbaits and a few bucktails (of course all my bass tackle too). Anything else I should add to this? All my Northern fishing will be done in lakes if that matters.
  2. Right, I just wondered if it made ANY noise at all. I think a muffled rattle may be an advantage in some situations.
  3. Poor guy.... Oh, well, that's what you get for making a D-player try and kick!
  4. haha no problem! I have to use lmgtfy.com any chance I get
  5. Awesome! How does the rattling sound with the PVC?
  6. HOT! The thing looked awesome without paint and looks even better now.

  8. x2 The Lions put up a good fight today against a strong team. I think we all agree their record could easily be much better. Yes they have been terrible, but despite the rough record this year, they are showing more promise than they have in a long time. That's what I meant. They were terrible last year, now they are a bit better and the cowboys are what the Lions used to be.
  9. I bet Glenn takes the happy pills just to browse this forum... Anyway, your about to lose that beach when you move to Kansas so you better enjoy it while you can
  10. Good luck with that buddy. Cowboys are the new Detriot Lions haha
  11. Have you flown before? I was terrified of planes and heights until I got on one, now I love to fly I still think about bad things that can happen, but they don't stop me. Not trying to call you a wimp or anything, but just know it gets better!
  12. Could be worse though, they could play like the Cowboys I think the Ravens finally see that converative BS doesn't work when they are ahead. Edit: good lord that auto text is way off, converative should read conservative
  13. +2 where do most of these sightings happen? Close to bases. Im not saying I don't believe in life elsewhere, but I feel if they could travel here, we would be dead by now...
  14. Ra-ra-ra-ra-RAVVVVVEEEENNNNNNNNSSSSSS! Falcons are next to lose! But seriously, the Dolphins had their heads up their butts the entire game.
  15. I looked into tungsten balls. They are around a dollar a piece for a 3/8 oz ball vs. the same weight for lead is 10 cents. (not buying in bulk anyway, if you buy 1000 lb at a time, you can get lead super cheap but I dont need that much ha) I think I'll smash the weight. I was going to get lead shot. A 50 cal lead ball is roughly 170 grains (a half oz is ~215 grains) I may be able to smash them and fit 2 in the nose. It may not even take that much to get it to sink, but most lipless cranks are half oz so I figured it would take that much.
  16. Sweet! Looks awesome, love the paint job. Hows the other one coming?
  17. When I was researching lipless cranks it looks like as long a you have the sides semi flat, the nose area shaped kind of like a shovel and put the tie high up the body, it will work ok. You should have enough weight in it to make it work. I bet your design will swim just fine
  18. Amazing! I love them all but my favorite is the second ones. I love black and white baits
  19. Might make it hunt more. I think it will run ok though because you kept its pocket small. If you made a big pocket, the weight might shift to 1 side and stay there. Cant wait to hear how this works.
  20. I'll make that number 11 on my list, that sounds like something fun!
  21. Saw this writing prompt on another website and thought it was a neat idea. List 10 things you want to do (fishing related) before you die. Here's what I came up with: 1. Make and sell my own lures. 2. Take someone less fortunate than myself fishing - anywhere they want to go. 3. Catch a fish/shark that's the same size as me (either in length or weight). 4. Catch a "Grand Slam" - Walleye, Pike, Lake Trout and Arctic Greyling. 5. Place in the top 10 in a Bassmasters Open or FLW tournament. 6. Fish with a professional angler. 7. Give a random angler a bunch of tackle (rods, reels, lures, a whole outfit). 8. Buy a brand new completely custom Ranger Boat. 9. Fly fish in salt water. 10. Kayak fish a Louisiana marsh for Redfish and Speckled Trout.
  22. I swear Denny can't open his mouth without teaching you something. Denny and Greg Hackney are the guys you want to listen to when it comes to jig fishing! Great video!
  23. Cool thanks. I'll have more photos and maybe some video tonight
  24. Oh oh can I be "NAFC".... I kid I kid!
  25. My Jerkbait isn't quite 3/4" high so I was thinking of either getting the 1/2" screw eyes or putting the 3/4" in at an angle. Do you think the 1/2" screw eyes will hold or should I just stay with the 3/4" ones?
