  1. garry - I'll ask him, he has all kinds of stuff. He even casts aluminum and lead so there's some other weight options Susqy- I import the model (an .obj file) into Aspire. I then set up my material, lay out the model (I just laid out the 1 side, then mirrored it to make the second half). Then, you pick your bits. I did 3 cuts, 1 rough cut with a 1/2 bit, then a pocket cut (the dead space around the object, with the same bit. Finally, I did the detail cutting with a 1/16 bit. I probably could have used a 1/8 bit though too. It took about 30 minutes per model to cut.
  2. I think I may ha ha I really want to start pike/muskie fishing. It looks like too much fun.
  3. Love nostalgic photos Great link!
  4. Thanks! They average about 1.3 to 1.6 million vertices. The one DBatey posted that I did was sitting at 3 million at one time. I had to back off a bit because the file size was MASSIVE. That's what I hate about sculpting, you need to have the same amount of points regardless of detail or it will turn out goofy in the end. I can then cut back the points after I'm done sculpting. I could probably have made them look as detailed with about 300,000 points, but it takes awhile for the computer to get rid of 'useless' points so I don't bother with it.
  5. The new battlefield on 360 is great. Getting ready to put the boat away aside from maybe one trip a month and look foward to hibernating with this game. I'm more of a PC gamer myself because I like games that let you create custom stuff. I knew a few guys that made some really cool stuff for Battlefield 2. I made some random items for Unreal Tournament, but nothing worth while HA.
  6. Oh post as many photos as you want. I just didn't want people coming on here posting an entire album of their dog haha. I too get confused with the trout sometimes. I thought that rainbow I posted back a few pages was a brookie because I never saw a rainbow so dark. Freakin' trout and their color changing ways!
  7. If I get a pike over ten, I will take a photo with it in the nude... LOL I just want anything over 2 ft. HAHA I'm sick of targeting toothy critters and only catching juvenile pickerel... While they are fun to catch, when you can lip them without getting bloody, it aint big enough
  8. Thanks for the info RoLo. This puts even more confidence in a few spots I wanted to try. All have deeper water that were once close to vegetation (obviously dead now). This lake is pretty small, so I shouldn't have an issue finding them... I hope It just concerns me how many pike they have stocked in that lake. I could be looking at this wrong, but if they are putting almost 2000 pike in a year, and it isn't a 'well known' Pike hot spot, wouldn't you think that they aren't really surviving well?
  9. It's 3 inches long. The top, 'lip' area is 1/4 inch (1/2 total when it's assembled), it then tapers down to roughly an 1/8 of an inch (so I'll have a 1/4 of an inch total). I was messing around with weights and things last night because my buddy gave me a reloading scale. It looks like there was only 158 grains of lead in the lipless crank I took apart (head weights and rattles included) which is close to 3/8 oz. That PVC is actually a little heavier than I thought it was, so it shouldn't take much to get it to sink. 2 or 3 .22 cal lead balls should do it
  10. Walker Lake... They stock a ton of Pike and Walleye in there. I'm making it a point to find them I have the Walker map Boatnik made up, so I think I have a few key spots picked out I need to hit. BTW, where the heck have you been? HA
  11. About the only thing they did was remove their Youtube video on how to do it, but there are a bunch of 'clone' videos by now. Crazy stuff... apparently it wasn't even hard, I didn't see the video though.
  12. Looks like it only took a group of hackers a few minutes to level up and get prestige mode... HA I love how easily these things can be done now.
  13. Thanks! I have jerkbaits in just about every size so I should be good there (I have a complex, I 'collect' jerkbaits. I don't know why I like them so much haha). Anyway, I'll let you guys know how I do!
  14. Cool, thanks for the tips guys. Wander, thanks for the list of baits. I have most of these now so I think I'm set I should pick up a few in line spinners too, I love those things haha.
  15. Ah, I thought you hit those after Ice out, but will they be hanging out there now? That lake has 2 creeks coming in so I have a double shot The one is a PERFECT spawning ground for Pike. It's a flat with pads and grass that is usually only 6 inch to 2 to 3 feet throughout. The bottom? All muck.
  16. That looks awesome!
  17. Well, I think I know where they will be. There is an underwater spring coming out near the dam in about 20 ft. of water. I think the big girls will be hanging around that (IF the baitfish are around). I could be wrong though haha. I hope the combo of this cold water coming out, the rocks from the dam and the wind direction will have all the big fish in this area. The wind is usually heading toward the dam. Won't know until I try it, but I'll be flying blind because my fish finder is broke
  18. Thanks guys! I have a $10 off coupon for any $25 or more at dicks and I was going to use this to get more pike tackle. I'll look into those spoons you mentioned RoLo and grab some big chartuese grubs
  19. I'm pretty sure they have already found fossils of tiny organisms in rocks from the moon and mars, so there's your answer.
  20. Guys we may as well give up on these threads. I love a good scientific talk as much as the next guy, but you know it will be locked before page 2. People can't stay on that fine line of appropriate.
  21. You know, usually when people design a tube and try to make it look like a craw with all that detail, it looks cheesy. This design on the other hand, is great. It's not over done and it still looks like a craw. Nice work!
  22. All good stuff since I posted last I'm slacking without my camera (it was repaired, waiting for it to get back to me!). Here is one my wife took of me from 2 years ago. Yes, my rod is that big...
  23. Paca Craw for finesse fishing jigs and then Rage Craws for the 'normal' jigs. No need for any other jig trailer. I like to 'nose' hook them with a 1/0 octopus hook, throw it out there and just let it fall weightless. Deadly tactic for when they are on lockdown
  24. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1289240504 Yes, others will be buying it
  25. I don't know about this one. I think it's going to be a good game, but not as good as the 2 modern warfare games. I really wish I wouldn't have sold my 360, theres some good stuff coming out. I think you should all go get Battlefield 2 for PC and we can start a BassResource clan HA That game is still the grestest multiplayer war game ever.
