  1. Well, you can't really convert those odd files on the DVD into a movie file. You need a program to make the DVD a file format that the computer understands (that's the easiest way to put it...) I use Format Factory: http://www.formatoz.com/ You will 'rip' the DVD with this software and then you will have to convert that file into whatever the Ipad takes (probably .mov or something like that). I'm pretty sure that FF can write .mov files. Watch what you are ripping though, if the DVD is copyrighted, it's illegal to copy it onto your computer. Format Factory will NOT allow you to copy a copyrighted DVD. There's really no good free software out there that lets you just select parts of a DVD and copy only certain parts. It's all or nothing, or pay for something Hope this helps!
  2. Ah man... Slow roll that baby over some rocks... Them smallies will be eatin' that up! Great looking bait man!
  3. Long pauses are key in cold water... 20+ seconds even - keep at it, you'll find the fishes 'groove'.
  4. Good stuff buddy! I'm looking at getting another bag, my Plano is filled to the brim (it actually ripped on 1 side because I had too much stuff in it). Maybe I'll look at this one!
  5. Great Paca Craw presentation is to get yourself some small hooks (either size 1 or 1/0 Octopus hooks or Sickle hooks), 'nose' hook the back end of it and just let it sit. One of the best finesse presentations you can deploy.
  6. Try getting some 'Field Staff' positions with companies also. I emailed a company once about 'Pro Staff' positions and they didn't even mention having a 'Field Staff'... So I emailed them again and asked about 'Field Staff' positions and they went ahead and added me to that. A lot of people seem to hate being on Field Staff, but it's your first step at getting in with a company!
  7. Hard swimbaits... I don't use them much (if ever) and would really like to learn them. Spoons also. I mean, I have used them, but I basically just cast them out reel a bit, let it drop, reel a bit, let it drop. I need to learn more techniques!
  8. Oh come on J... You used to look like that before the operation...
  9. There plastic is second to none... It's soft, but its VERY durable.. unlike anything else I have used. I've nailed 20+ bass on a single tube. There tubes are great too because they have a solid head. As far as the Hatch Match Sticks go, don't think of it as another stick bait... It's something you just have to try to see what I mean. The Tri-Lam colors are pretty darn cool too...
  10. I use 3 trailers (technically 2) - My main trailer is my Rage Craw. When that isn't working, I cut it in half and slap it on the jig... If that doesn't work, I use the Paca Craw. I think the Paca craw is a great size... It's small, but it still has a bulky profile. I was never a big fan of the straight chunks/pork style baits.
  11. A KitchenAid stand mixer...... That I won on Lowe's Facebook Gift a Thon for a mere $15.... BAZINGA!
  12. I keep records with Catch Notes on my phone (it's not meant for fish... it's just a coincidence that they call it Catch Notes haha). For fish, I log length, lure, presentation, any cover/structure that really sticks out, current (if I'm on the river) and any baitfish or craws I see in the area (if there's a bunch of them). For trips, I log weather (todays and yesterdays), number of fish caught, temps, and water clarity. The good thing about using Catch Notes is when you take a photo to attach to the note, it keeps the GPS data attached (which the phone does by default anyway).

  15. I have yet to play a fishing game where the fish actually adapt to conditions like they do in real life (or even act half like they should). In just about every fishing game you can find that 1 lure that works anytime, anywhere, and just catch like crazy. I see why they do this though, they don't want to target just the hardcore anglers, they are trying to make it easy for ANYONE to play. They need to make a game that has the best of both worlds. Oh, and don't even try Kevin Van Dam's fishing game... It is an absolute pile of crap! He should get his name off that game ASAP
  16. Good stuff guys, thanks for the info. Going to try a few different methods for weighting. I have a ton of old lead, so I may as well experiment with that first. May end up buying tungsten shot though, may designs are thin
  17. Dave, Do you get any 'flare' up's from any moisture left in the wood (when pouring the lead) or is it usually dry enough to take the lead without causing an explosion haha.
  18. Those are great processors. Im an AMD man myself, but Intel has really been making some innovative stuff. Should be a good processor for games, but the graphics card (or onboard graphics, depending on the laptop) is going to be your main concern for games.
  19. It took the CNC roughly 20 to 30 minutes to cut 1 side. I havent finished a side on the router replicator though, so I dont know if I can do it faster. The cnc was cutting with a 1/16 inch bit and im using a 3/32 inch bit, so I should be able to cut it quicker, but we will see. Should have some cut by next week (need to make a stylus for my new bits).
  20. The only idea I ever came up with for a reel 'enhancement' was to put a tiny clamp inside the reel to put your line through (so you don't have to tie to the reel). But that's a dumb idea, I just use electrical tape now
  21. Thanks BobP! I'll look into that. Nine - I got my router, well I got a dremel for now haha. It works awesome. I was just messing around with it for now, but I should have some cut by next week. I have to go make a custom stylus for my 3/32 inch ball head bit. I was cutting with an 1/8 inch flat bit, but it makes the baits too... I dont know... chunky? so I had to get the ball head. Just hoping the Airbrush is under the tree
  22. I don't think In Fisherman is on WFN at all. I used to watch it, but it got old after awhile (same shows all week long). There are awesome shows on there don't get me wrong, but on DISH you have to pay $10 a month for it and I didn't really think it was worth it. Facts of Fishing, Getting Schooled, The New Fly Fisher and Jarret Edwards Outdoors are all I really miss. Thanks to Mike D for keeping Lunkerville online so I don't miss it
  23. Now that's just crazy! $95 and you got a deal!
  24. Pens... I wish the Caps could get one though... I hate not getting Vs. or any of those channels. I dont get to watch live hockey until after mid season! Stupid NBC, show more games!
  25. I just ordered the sample online. I want that piece of foam LOL That's awesome haha They are pretty cool. Id love to have a full mattress but I'm not paying that much for one. I had about 12 pieces before I gave up. I wish I could remember where they were, they'd make a good pad for a boat seat lol
