  1. Tabu Tiny Tim's for small spinnerbaits and RageTail Grubs for everything else. As I learned from a local guide around here, adding a trailer to your spinnerbaits gives the fish a better way to tell what's the 'head' and what's the 'tail' of the bait. Since he started using trailers (just a long curly grub) he hasn't had any short strikes.
  2. If the body gets ripped up, don't throw them out. I use the top 1/3 as a jig trailer after the bottoms get ripped up.
  3. I actually won a Veritas around Christmas and just started using it this year (funny story, it took them like 4 months to ship it due to a shipping error... so they sent me a Revo SX for free too... Because I was so upset I didn't get my FREE rod! That's awesome customer service right there!), Anyway, I was always a 'cheap' set up user, never liked to pay more than $70 for combos. So far, I really like the rod and reel, very light (lighter than my Quantums, and it's a foot longer), the rod can take a beating... or bending I should say. I put it in the bottom of my kayak and it has to be bent pretty hard to get in there. I cringe every time, but it holds up fine.
  4. Love my croc's (even have mickey mouse head shaped holes... Yep, I'm cool) but I just got a pair of Ocean Minded shoes for the beach and they are going to be my new go to kayaking shoe. http://www.oceanminded.com/ I got the WaveSeeker Flannel Slip on's, dry quick and don't scream "WATER SHOE!" if you wear them... In fact, I have them on now... At work
  5. There's the thread skeet.
  6. You give me some golf lesson's and I'll take you anywhere you want to fish in PA LOL My Aunt and Uncle live on Pinehurst, NC (can't remember which course, but their house is in the 9th hole), always wanted to play on that course, but I'm terrible! Anyway, just kidding, welcome! I'm down in central Pa, anytime you want to fish here, let me know! Penns Creek is always a winner for trout and the smallies are AWESOME on the Juniata/Susquehanna!
  7. Does anybody know of any places I could launch a kayak on Swatara creek near Hershey? I'll go up to the State Park if I have too, but wondered if there was any launches closer to me?
  8. Busy and lost my brother in Feb. (was in the hospital with him for that whole month, then March and April I spent catching up on everything). Doing a lot more trout fishing too (I know, I know, trout suck ) I enjoy the fly and wilderness fishing though haha I'll be interested to see how things go tonight. Taking Owen out again after work today, he can always find the bass.... I've trained him well
  9. Me and my little brother caught smallies on crankbaits for 2 hours straight, then it died off as fast as it started. Was around 6 to 8pm. Fish were holding SUPER tight to cover and the shoreline (probably didn't help that the river is muddy and up a good 4 feet from what it should be).
  10. Was going to say the same thing GrundleLove... I enjoy catching Pickerel, in fact, I usually target them if I know they are in a body of water (which isn't hard at all). Grips are the best way, but if you can't get them, I usually hold them behind the eyes (pinch about an inch behind their eyes) and they usually don't thrash that much. If they are bigger, usually over 18", I'll do the hold 'em under the mouth/gill slit thing.
  11. Out of those three, Ride 115 all the way. Great boat, stable, fast and you can even stand in it once you're comfortable and find it's 'tipping' point. You won't be dissappointed with it at all.
  12. Skip the anchor - I've heard horror stories of guys dropping anchor in the smallest of current, flipping, actually getting twisted up in their kayak or anchor line and drowning. All goes back to what J said, learn to paddle, you'd be surprised at how much current you'll be able to sit in without moving. Even a little patch of weeds is usually enough to stop you. Best thing you can do if you don't have any paddling instructors - Get this DVD: http://confidencebaits.3dcartstores.com/River-Kayak-Fishing-Skills_p_32.html
  13. There's smallies in there, so technically it's bass waters too haha Never fished it, but I hear about it all the time. Sounds like a decent piece of water.
  14. Too broad a question to answer specifically, but generally, small and slow works best for me in the winter (everything from simply cold water to fishing ice jams in the river). Some of my favorite baits are RageTail baby craws or even Chunks 'nose' hooked on a split shot rig or even put them on an 1/8oz ballhead jig. Tabu Whiptail worms are awesome also, small package and a ton of action, even when just laying around.
  15. Good luck and Godspeed... I'll be praying and thinking of you.
  16. J already gave my answer Photobucket, Picasa, any of the major 'photo sharing app' should do. Photobucket is the best for sharing with sites, but I use Picasa for the integration with Google+.
  17. You guys without FB can enter: http://promoshq.wildfireapp.com/website/6/contests/192889 It even has a link to this page on the FB page, which you can see even if you don't have FB.
  18. Hair jigs... Dark hair jigs, sometimes without a trailer even. 1/8 to 3/8 oz depending on depth.
  19. I haven't heard anything about them going away... The Next Bite is just about to start season 8, so they shouldn't be going anywhere for at least a year
  20. I haven't opened the level in at least a year. I bet I deleted it LOL Someday I'll work from home and do whatever I want, but then I won't have any money and my wife and kids will leave because I'm a lazy slob... Just can't win man...
  21. Oh man I forgot I had that... It had a little 'scale' on the bottom that would tell you how big the fish was... That thing was awesome! http://www.amazon.com/Radica-Lunker-Bass-Fishing-Handheld/dp/B0002XC8QO
  22. Jimmy Houstons game was fun also... And those Bassmaster games! They don't make 'em like they used too
  23. It's not just you JigFisherman... You could put me in the 'hardcore gamer' category and I find it absolutely terrible. It's so bad, I wouldn't play it if it was free. Worst $20 I ever spent. Stay away from the KVD game... Just don't even try it. BPS The Strike is probably the best game out there now. The Rapala games are kind of fun too, but what I hate about them is all fish fight the same. It doesn't matter if you're using a spinning rod with 4 lb test or a baitcaster with 100 lb test... You can catch any fish with the same amount of work (and you can catch Salmon on there that are massive). My all time favorite fishing game has to be Mark Davis: The Fishing Master for SNES... I still play it today, check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26xU3MfOA-s
  24. Thanks man! I really miss doing that stuff, but it is time consuming! Normally, it only takes about a day at most to make something like those pillars (including hi poly model to bake maps with), but with what little time I have, it was taking me like 2 weeks... You really lose motivation Here's as far as the map had gotten (was using the Unreal Development Kit - you should check that out also, it's free) - http://s251.photobucket.com/albums/gg288/nfollmer/Hospital%20Map/ The wall and floor textures were just placeholders... I couldn't stand looking at those checkers anymore. If we ever get time, I'll model and texture and you can place objects and design and we will make a map LOL I want to make a fishing game someday, but again... no time! Red - Assassins Creed 2 is leaps and bounds better than AC1, you'll love it if you like the first one. Oblivion is great, if you like it, get Morrowind (works on the 360, but was an Xbox game, can probably find it at GameStop for like 5 bucks). It's old, but it's the best game in the Elder Scrolls series (Skyrim may take over that spot though haha).
  25. www.picresize.com - great online photo resizer.
