  1. just came across this thread, think ill join in more often! although my breakfast and lunch are normally bland because i only have college caf food for options. Breakfast- bacon egg and cheese, french toast, cantelope, coffee. Lunch- egg roll, salad, pizza Dinner- Spaghetti and meatballs with a cold one to wash it down!
  2. ChrisAW hit it on the head. These worms have been submerged in the water a while and expanded. they are just your average size worm.
  3. 10 inch power worm reeled on top of high weeds like a buzzbait!
  4. after fishing a few abu's i never cared for them. after fishing a few shimano's, i never cared for them (besides my cardiff 400). ive moved on to lew's to test their product, and so far so good.
  5. hahaahaha this is too much. probably a simple miscommunication. 14 incher is reasonable, our jersey waters have a 12 inch minimum on most lakes and a 15 inch minimum on "trophy lakes"
  6. dont give up yet fellas! bass are still biting, just gotta catch em feeding. paying attention to moon phases this time of year seems to have a bigger affect on my success more so than it does in the summer. i have been catching fish on drop shots and jerkbaits within the last week heading out today hoping to wrangle in a few.
  7. i pray for you. lol!!!! have a happy and blessed thanksgiving anyways!
  8. throw em all! eh, maybe not the lizards, but a grub on a jig head would be a good bait to throw cold water smallie fishig right now
  9. sure does. ill say the same thing o this thread as i did on the other, check out tackle industries musky rods. meant for big baits, and a heck of a rod for the price.
  10. all i can really say is thats amazing. my ratio of 5 pounders is probably about 1 in 600.
  11. i find a lot of the time the guy who cuts you off or moves in on you and jacks your spot or scopes what your using doesnt have the skill to catch fish anyways. I have had times when im trout fishing ill have guys literally walk in the middle of the stream in front of where i am fishing, and then get ticked when i catch a fish and it jumps right behind them when i am fighting it. ive had guys walk 30 feet up stream of me and step i the current and contiune to drift his presetation dead in the middle of the stream, straight down i front of me. same guys has the tenacity to tell me that if i "snag" his line, he will reel it in, cut off my lure and throw it in the woods. i promptly responded to him saying "you know it is against the law to interfere with people legally fishing and hunting"................. not another word. i much rather take a plate number or registratio number, call it in, and let the CO take care of those clowns.
  12. not sure what it could be, but another tip to keep some tension on the line as it goes onto the spool while fishing is stick out your pointer finger so that the line hits it lightly before it goes back onto the spool. i'm not sure how you hold your rod, but for me it was just a slight adjustment that provided the benefit of less line twist and the line laying better on the reel for better casting
  13. take a look at tackle industries musky rods. my buddy uses one (for musky) and its a nice rod for a good price. they make rod lengths from 7'6" up to 9 foot i think and each length has one rated for 1-6 ounce lures
  14. well the flipping bite didnt pan out, but a trolling bite did....lol. hands got cold and resulted to trolling small rapalas slowly and ended up with 3-4 bass and a mess of pickeral.
  15. 28 inch pickeral?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? thats almost state record status im sure.
