  1. I like fishing with new people...there is always something to learn. Looking forward to another fish and greet
  2. I couldn't agree more. You just never know what can happen until you put your hand on the plow. Being a teacher gives you a ton of time to invest in the business. It also gives you access to the kids parents.
  3. Could yall let me know how top get to the ramp from either the turnpike or I-95? Coming from Aventura (Miami). Thanks
  4. Incredible scenery and vivid photography!
  5. I thought I saw Glenn doing some flipping and pitching presentations on here but can't find it in the search box. Does anyone have any links to these presentations... if they exist on BR? Thanks
  6. I'am in. I have never been there so I really not sure if I want to take my skiff. If anyone has a open seat I'am game. If not I'll be in my boat.
  7. Black Buzz Bait at night. Central Fl. orange grove lake.
  8. I was trolling the Oleta River and Haulover Inlet area today. I was using a Rapala Husky Jerk and Rapala X-Raps on 10# P-Line w/30# leader. Hooked up on several cuda and ladyfish before I got blownup on this Barracuda. The fight was on for over 35 minutes. It was the best fight I have had in over two years. A nice lady on a stand up surfboard came over and took the picture for me.
  9. Thats a good start Grinch. Your hooked now.
  10. I thought I was the only working guy who could fish on a wednesday If its the 21st, count me in. Never laid eyes on Lox accept Google earth. Anybody who has a bassboat and needs a backseater holler at me.
  11. :o :o Incredible fish Big-O!
  12. The water levels in the everglades determine if you can find fish. When water is high you can't buy a fish. But those are the exception. Most of the time I can expect 6-8 bass per/man/hr. It does get crazy feb-august when the average can be 10-18 per/man/hr. I just like being on the water, fish or no fish I'am good.
  13. What are some of your favorite baits that you or your father used to catch bass that you can no longer find? If you have a picture that would be cool too.
  14. I use the full size. It is one of my go to baits in the dusk hours of late summer. I like the green frog colors because it is natural to the everglades.
  15. Oh boy this brings up bad memories.... Hooked into a xxl black drum at port canaveral. The rod was in a pvc holder wedged into the jetty bolders. It got hit and was headed into the inlet, I made a run to grab it and broke my foot when I got caught in between the jetty boulders. The worst part of it was working on a drilling rig in the gulf and when I showed up for duty they sent me back home till I healed up so I lost allot of $ over the ordeal. Second accident was fishing a swordfish tournament off miami beach. I accidentially put a 8" slice in my leg with a new fillet knife. The muscle was showing. I opted to tape it up instead of getting stitches. Left a hideous scar.
  16. BoccaBaser JD'sCustomBaits produces some big worms. They are located in Davie. He has one called the "Beast", it is 16.5".
  17. Sounds like a that was the trip of the year! It has been too long since I have been ofshore. Used to run offshore charters on a 26 GB Cat. Had lots of fun in the stream. Do you ever target the swords?
  18. Keep it simple and light. Plastic worms, spinner bait or beatle spin, shallow running crankbait and a popper.
  19. Garry from Tamarac, Fl. was with me in the glades today. Garry had just moved to south Florida and had not fished for bass in 20+ years. It was brutally hot and the fishing was somewhat off as expected. None the less, Garry and I boated somewhere around <100> bass. Most were in the 2#-4# range with a dozen or so over 4#'s. Most were caught using a Rapala SR5, Garry Yamamoto Senko, Zoom Flukes, and JD'sCustomBaits worms on the WobbloeHead Lure. Check out the dead 8ft. alligator. Another gator was dragging it around the canal.
  20. PM sent jdscustombaits MONSTER WORMS
  21. The only reason I use braid is that the sawgrass and brush won't cut it. The reasons I do not like braid are 1. Fish can see it. 2. It won't break when you really need it too especially when your hung up on a gator. 3. No stretch 4. And lastly...Fish see it.
  22. A big swim worm or snake.
  23. Thats a big un"! Awesome fish brother!
  24. Dude thats off the chain 8-)
